Carrier for 1.5 year old that will last.

@anditsnotmybirthday It’s really about height, not age or weight. I started using my Tula toddler at 18 months, my kiddo is 90th percentile for height and was solidly wearing 2T pants at the time.

    Frustrated with Tula

@bubble5 I hope it helps! FWIW I’m plus size, 5’5” and have found my Tula carriers to be very forgiving in terms of fit.

    Frustrated with Tula

@bubble5 Could you post a fit check with your Tula? It’s a very forgiving carrier and fits a lot of body types, just based on what you’re saying here it seems like there could be some room for improvement. Tula also does free fit consultations over zoom, if you’re not comfortable posting...

Tula Free-to-Grow vs. Wildbird Aerial Carrier??

@caiasaura I only have good things to say about my Tula, it’s been my main carrier for over a year. It’s very supportive and not too hot. The panel adjustment is great for smaller babies.

    Short torso/thin frame help

@testimony2share You might like meh dai style carriers. They have a panel like a structured carrier but the straps and waistband are long and tie like a wrap. If you primarily want to back wear kiddo Onbuhimo style carriers have no waistband, they go on like a backpack and kiddo sits up high...

F the cult-like following of certain carrier brands (Happy Baby)

@immanuelsdottir Ditto, I hate this Instagram influencer/ low supply/high demand/ waiting for product drops for baby clothing and gear crap that’s happening now. I had no idea this was a thing prior to having a kiddo. It’s super inconvenient and as far as I’m concerned clothing and some of these...

K’tan active vs Konny air mesh

@_epoh_ How much does your baby weigh? Stretchy carriers are only going to be supportive up to ~15lbs, so unless your baby is a fresh newborn I wouldn’t buy additional carriers in that style. Linen carriers tend to be the coolest, like a single layer linen ring sling.

How do you baby wear during the summer?

@the_creation_center Lightweight moisture-wicking clothes, natural fibers. A lightweight carrier made of natural fibers helps too. Anything padded, polyester (even those with mesh, that’s just hot sweaty plastic too) will be warm. I’d definitely try your Ergo but if you find it too warm...

Please no judgement - just a question

@cheeekdaniel Don’t use that narrow setting at all. You don’t want baby dangling from their crotch, they need to be supported knee-to-knee with fabric. I don’t know why Infantino still instructs their carrier be used in this manner, it’s a dated design and uncomfortable for baby. The...

    Tandem wearing with two wraps

@thanksyoueel I’m not a wrap person so totally take my comment with a grain of salt, but putting two onbuhimos on is going to be substantially faster than wrapping two kiddos unless you’re a wrap ninja. That video you linked is 5 minutes long, that’s a lot longer than slipping two structured...

    Toddler carriers

@glass1985 The Tula toddler has a wide seat and will hold kiddo ergonomically (so yes it’s hip healthy), it doesn’t matter that it doesn’t have the certification. I believe that’s something that carrier brands pay for, and it’s likely not worth it on a toddler product. Hip dysplasia isn’t a...
