Non M-F 9-5 workers, how hard is working holidays/weekends?

@rachelsarah Thank you! I plan to send the kids to daycare and enjoy two “off” days during the weeks I only work the weekend. There’s definitely a lot of benefits, I’ve always preferred longer days and less of them but I can see getting down when I miss out.

What is it like going from 1-2 or 2-3 kids with 2 full time working parents?

@misty35 Thank you! Honestly I don’t value a career, but I want to be able to not work to the bone to enjoy my children! I mean, I like to do a good job at work but I don’t climb ladders, I’m not management material, and I don’t like 45+ hour work weeks. It’s a catch 22, I would have three...

@klangl01 Thank you! I look forward to weekend differential again, the pay is definitely better with the odd shifts.

Non M-F 9-5 workers, how hard is working holidays/weekends?

@katrina2017 Oh yeah, I don’t think I could give up that many weekends! The days I work will be rough, but overall I know it will be better to have someone at home 5 days a week. Hope your husband found a job with more preferable hours!

Non M-F 9-5 workers, how hard is working holidays/weekends?

@katrina2017 It sounds particularly hard as the spouse! It will be every 3rd weekend and I believe 2-3 out of the six major holidays a year. It’s worth it, because it’s how I can afford to be part time and get more time at home but the down sides definitely suck. My MIL will probably still do...

Non M-F 9-5 workers, how hard is working holidays/weekends?

I’m a nurse and plan to go part time back to bedside after working a regular 9-5 schedule (for the most part) for over 4 years. For a short time, I did 3 12 hour shifts during the week which was a dream except for the on call, so I know I like the long days but less days more. But I’m worried...

Having a toddler while pregnant is so rough, can I just complain?

@katya123 I sure hope your husband is not judging you if he isn’t working full time while pregnant!!!

Having a toddler while pregnant is so rough, can I just complain?

@rg8_ I remember thinking the same with my first, I keep reminding myself this is all temporary!

Having a toddler while pregnant is so rough, can I just complain?

@joydaph Hey that is expensive but worth every penny! My son loves daycare so much, hey barely pays me any mind when I pick him up because he loves the toys lol.

I get so annoyed of hearing “wElL I dOnT kNoW hOw To HeLp UnLesS yOu aSk”…

@roryrichards Nah I made a list today. I’m printing that bitch out this weekend. No more excuses I didn’t ask. Check and see if it needs to be done. He does the same things over and over which is indeed nice, but why am I the only one worrying about 90% of things. The part about the phone...

Having a toddler while pregnant is so rough, can I just complain?

@roverfind I take a stimulant and I think that’s why we went with zofran, because I can barely stay awake as is. But maybe at night it would help.

Having a toddler while pregnant is so rough, can I just complain?

@bible_mum I’m taking Zofran, but it doesn’t seem to be effective for long. I tried the B6 and Unisom which didn’t work well my last pregnancy either. It’s rough lol

What is it like going from 1-2 or 2-3 kids with 2 full time working parents?

@yeast786 I was just talking with my husband about how it might be more beneficial for me to be part time when they are in school vs now anyway (it’s not financially an option now, but this makes me feel better). Plus, less worrying about how to get days off for field trips and such.

Having a toddler while pregnant is so rough, can I just complain?

I’m 9 weeks pregnant with a 17 month old. I’m nauseas all day, and vomit 3-5 times a day. Definitely not the worst, but it’s wearing on me. I work full time, which is so hard right now, but I’m so grateful my son has childcare right now because I am a pile of crap every evening and weekend. I’m...

I get so annoyed of hearing “wElL I dOnT kNoW hOw To HeLp UnLesS yOu aSk”…

@savemonopolylatw2votv Sometimes I have a fight with my MIL in my head about how she raised him sometimes 😂 so infuriating. Except I told my husband I’m not his manager. I commented I made a list. If I’m working on something, he can check that list out and start working too.

What is it like going from 1-2 or 2-3 kids with 2 full time working parents?

@alovedivine Thank you! This is a very nice comment. I know it’s silly, but we went from 2 to 3 dogs and 3 was too many. I fear I’ll want three kids because they are so fun and loving, but realistically it will be too many to enjoy.

What is it like going from 1-2 or 2-3 kids with 2 full time working parents?

@katrina2017 That’s exactly how I feel. Even if we can afford 3 (idk it will be tough, especially because of the vehicle situation) I think that two would allow us to do more of the things we’d like in life, and be able to take our kids on more adventures. Plus I have a feeling it would be...

What do your weekday mornings look like?

@nhope When I was pumping, I pumped on the way to and from work so I could be with baby as soon as I got home. I would sometimes pump as soon as I woke up, then again on the way. You have the same commute I did, so I highly suggest some sort of portable pump. I couldn’t believe women go back to...

“Why didn’t you remind me?” -My Husband

@gracesavedmess Just because there’s a calendar, doesn’t mean someone chooses to use it!
