@ashla Things like fever and malaise. When you’re giving vaccines to a healthy population you really want to minimize side effects. But as far as I know, they never gave a higher dose to younger children. They were just worried the 10 µg was going to be too strong.

@jim2010 IF it even works. And then we don’t get our kids started until May with no real protection until august at the earliest. That’s only slightly better than worthless.

@tonymaro I also want to point out that even if they don't die, getting sick and admitted to a hospital is a traumatic experience for a child.

@coti Pediatrician here. Vast majority of 33-34 weekers do great. Might need a couple weeks in the NICU to learn to nipple their feeds, but that’s it.
