My supervisor didn’t say I was ok to take the day before my planned c-section off…?

@qork If I’m understanding this right, it sounds like this day is one you wanted to use PTO for, and not your actual maternity leave. Contact HR directly about taking this time off. The manager doesn’t have control over maternity leave— and is likely mistaking this PTO request as part of your...

i’m worried that my eating disorder will come back post partum and I’m really scared

@aiambutasmallvoice If you don’t already work with a therapist, now would be a good time to book appointments and build a rapport so you can tee yourself up for success for the remainder of the pregnancy and postpartum. Life is hard, shit like this doesn’t need to make it harder.

am i running too much to conceive?

@sahabds Have you had your husband’s sperm checked? If rule out the more likely causes first, like possible issues with his sperm or your anemia, before blaming your running which sounds reasonable.

Got an 'answer' for my "next level" velcro baby. I was too stressed while pregnant.

@russ98 I really wish they would say “I’m not sure” when they don’t know or “let me research that and get back to you.” I will never believe doctors who practice medicine and aren’t willing to admit a patient had a good question that they need to look up the answer to.

A/B Testing: My experience with Vaginal vs. Scheduled C Section

@mzsky Thank you so much for this post! Of the two, which would you do again? Could you please clarify if the prolapse was a result of the vaginal delivery, or just something that happened to occur with that pregnancy?

Doc Says Don’t Go Over 140?

@ruella As others have said, this is nonsense advice from your doc. Since you will probably need a PT during recovery, you should contact one now! They can tell you what you need to know, help you with your pelvic floor, and assess your ab separation as it happens. With a doc giving bad and...

    “Nobody Wants Your Kid!”

@trandraskell Also like, what was that lady going to do if she got called in for her own appointment? Take the kid with her and make the mother wait for it to finish? Pass him off on someone else? Go interrupt J’s appointment to return him?
