    What is going on

@yommie HCG at this point is kind of pointless. The only way it’d be definitive is if it’s gone down. More than likely, it’s gone up. I’d ask for a sooner ultrasound if anything. It sounds like you weren’t tracking ovulation and with a 35 day cycle you could have ovulated due say 20+…which...

Week 7 - Heartbeat but Yolk Sac was not visualized

@psj71 “Not visualized” is different than “not present.” It just means they didn’t see it - it was probably hiding behind baby - and likely didn’t go looking hard for it. Because you wouldn’t have an on track baby with a HB if it didn’t exist. Everything else is on track and sounds lovely!

Years of infertility and trauma and now I’m 22 weeks and haven’t planned a thing

@promise1 Oh and…as far as bleeding, it’s impossible to say. Everyone is different, even each birth. But the postpartum stuff going on in my body was definitely an added factor into all parts of my first few weeks/months. Take it easy if you feel the need to and remember that you’re healing...

Years of infertility and trauma and now I’m 22 weeks and haven’t planned a thing

@promise1 After awhile, I got into the mindset of celebrating every day the baby was alive, even if was 6, 10, or 39 weeks. 💕 Started “announcing” (to close friends and fam) right away each time and trying to hold out hope. Plus I love parties and did a super chill mixed gender beer and food...

Years of infertility and trauma and now I’m 22 weeks and haven’t planned a thing

@promise1 I had 5 pregnancy losses before my first success and I struggled with all the huge baby shower lists…so much stuff. So overwhelming.

Years of infertility and trauma and now I’m 22 weeks and haven’t planned a thing

@promise1 I’d start with: - Crib/bassinet and sheets - Diapers and wipes - 10ish onesies - 10ish bottoms - 6ish PJs - Car seat - A jacket (depending on climate) - 3ish baby blankets for use in car seat/stroller or on your floor for tummy time - baby monitor (depending on home layout) I...

Spontaneous pregnancy at 47, low hcg

@farah06 Your doubling time is still within acceptable range. And your HCG is low enough you’d not expect much on ultrasound. Really possible to go either way. Hopeful for you!

Years of infertility and trauma and now I’m 22 weeks and haven’t planned a thing

@promise1 I’m so sorry; infertility makes pregnancy a lot harder to enjoy. Hugs. Babies need very little. A few pieces of clothing, diapers, a place to sleep, and food. You don’t have to overdo the stuff and you have some time. But being at least somewhat prepared before the baby comes does...

Been booked for a scan next week at 6+5, based on my LMP. I’m sure I will only be 5+3 though. Is it a waste of time?

@arauca You can’t be sure of when you ovulated — ovulation pain can be before, during, or after ovulation. But if it was cd23ish, even if off by a couple days, you’ll definitely measure behind your LMP dating. It’s up to you on if you keep that ultrasound — if you do, I’d plan to only measure...

Does HCG actually slow down after 1200mIU/ml in a healthy pregnancy?

@lucia398 Betabase is also self reported which I side- eye at.

Does HCG actually slow down after 1200mIU/ml in a healthy pregnancy?

@lucia398 It sure does. 72-96 hours between 1,200-6,000 is average. Then 96+ after 6k. Very normal.

Slowing betas... should I be worried?

@mars1234 I’m sorry you have this concern. Your HCG is fine and doesn’t indicate an issue in itself. I’m confused by your ultrasound, though. Most studies show that you can’t visualize a GS

Slowing betas... should I be worried?

@mars1234 Studies show HCG should be in these ranges: 0-1,200 = 30-72 hour doubling 1,200-6,000 = 72-96 hours doubling 6,000+ = 96+ hours doubling So your HCG itself was still doubling well within the bounds of normal and did not indicate an issue.
