Overnight cio?

We've tried several things with naps and wake windows before just going to full cio overnight. After almost an hour he settled and fell asleep on his own. But a few minutes later he started crying, just a bit and he resettled. This cycle of asleep for a few minutes, little bit of crying, resettle, and asleep has been going on for a hour now. Longest asleep was 10 minutes one time, the rest are shorter. Do I keep waiting? I'm so tired. Ear plugs or other means of ignoring/trying to sleep through aren't an option unfortunately 😒
Edit: forgot to say he is 10 months, doing cio at bedtime for the past week and that has gone great.

  • how old is your baby?
  • what are their wake windows and naps (e.g. 3/3/4 where the numbers are the wake windows and the dashes are the naps)
  • does the last feed end half an hour before baby is placed in the crib awake, not rocked to drowsy?
  • how long do you give baby to settle themselves before intervening (e.g. 15 mins, then quick diaper check)?
  • is the first night feed at least six hours after baby was placed in the crib awake?

@kingdomkings 10 months, 3/3/4, yes and we do more solids now per pediatrician suggestion, we did one check overnight at 10 minutes - no check at bedtime, no night feeds at all. He did eventually fall asleep but it took an hour of crying followed by an hour of the cycle of crying/sleeping for a minute. Back to the crying/sleeping cycle at 530am.
