Hey beautiful moms-to-be,
I’m currently 19 weeks pregnant and for the last five days, I have been experiencing very intense pain on my lower back, specifically on the right side, near the pelvis. The pain is constant and doesn’t go away. It was so intense that my doctor actually asked me to go to the emergency room to get it checked out. However, at the hospital, they only checked the baby and didn’t investigate where the pain was coming from. Since the baby is okay, they sent me home.
The pain has continued to get worse. I went to an orthopedic specialist, but he said he couldn’t help me because I can’t have an x-ray while I’m pregnant and suggested physiotherapy instead. I’m wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and has any advice regarding this matter. The pain is especially bad when I’m lying down or sitting in a chair. So I can’t even sleep. I get a little relief only if I lay down with my back arched slightly, supported by pillows, but the pain still continues and wakes me up at night. It’s unbearable.
Any advice?
