Landlord fertilized the lawn. When is it safe for my 1 y/o to play in the yard again?

My 1 year old loves to crawl in our yard and get his hands and feet dirty. My landlord fertilized the entire yard and I'm assuming the chemicals wouldn't be safe to play in...at what point would it be safe again?

@sheber Can you ask him what product he used and look up the specific ingredients?

@sheber I feel like the safest is after it rains. But you could also use a sprinkler maybe?

@sheber Some fertilizers are mainly minerals (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium usually). It may be fine as long as your LO won't eat the granules. But it is worth finding out what kind of fertilizer was used. There are tooooooooons of different products out there.
