Advanced maternal age/Induction at 39 weeks?

Wondering what some of you would do/have done. It’s recommended women of advanced maternal age be induced at 39 weeks. I’m 38 years old. This is my third pregnancy. Second one came fast at under 2 hours. Doctor is not pressuring me but thinks it will be fine and thinks it’s a good idea. Baby measuring 8 pounds. No risks or red flags at all. I’m also not dilated as of today (37 weeks).

@ejt I'm 43 with my first and was told I would be induced 1 or 2 weeks early. I'll do it if it increases the odds that everything will be ok.
