My preemie was admitted to the peds unit yesterday because of fluid on his lungs and low O2 stats. He has an av canal defect and his baseline o2 is mid 90s with dips into the 80s. It was in the low 70s yesterday. So now we’re here with an extra dose of lasik and continuous heart and o2 monitoring. He’s on a 1/4 liter of oxygen as well. I’m really hoping that his chest X-ray shows clear this morning and we can go home. These rooms are small and isolating. Bubs has really done nothing but sleep since we got here.
