Due in August and just got a nice size haul

@katehunt977 I found the standard inserts bulky on a newborn. I did newborn sized prefolds (or cotton flats!!!!) jellyrolled and snappi’d on, and a flip cover on top. I found that fit really well from 8lb. Bonus if you use cotton flats - you can just padfold them for an older baby. You avoid...

Okay, talk to me about baby eczema

@dennyissmith Aveeno baby excema nighttime (in the tub not the tube!!). That goes on any patches multiple tjmes a day (when it’s really bad we made a habit of every diaper change) But if lotions aren’t making progress your dr can give you prescription cream that makes a world of difference...

Help a lazy Alva-pocket-diapering person graduate to something better for overnight?

@morehimlessme I switched to a fitted overnight, with a wool Cover. Boost it with whatever you have handy. I have the motherease fitteds - they were only $10 each. Sooooooo worth every penny to just have a straightforward, soft & squishy, leak free system (compared to finagling different inserts...

Under stimulated baby: is it concerning???

@momof2napril What everyone else said!! As a side note - I’m starting to encounter parents like your SIL. Alllllways busy - makes me feel I don’t do enough with my kids? Then I realized - it’s a personality thing. Mostly the parents, which rubs off on the kids. Pre-kids some of my friends were...

Where’s your diaper station/cart located when you have a 2 floor home?

@venegos Really!!? Oh I stand corrected! I never made it with either kid past the rolling alligator stage! I just assumed it was impossible...

Where’s your diaper station/cart located when you have a 2 floor home?

@ohiogators It’s when they get mobile you often switch to the floor. It’s just safer and easier to wrestle the slippery alligator

    Don’t know what I’m doing

@romanseight2005 Yes we all do this with microfibre - you learn how much it sucks aaaaaafter you start cloth diapering! And then you rebuy your insert stash is something much more wonderful! (I’m a cotton flat lover - suuuper cheap and they take no time at all to dry so I feel like I’m saving...

    Haakaa breast pump

@enealexandru I only found it effective to attach to one side, while breastfeeding the other. Otherwise I’d get nothing noticeable. And even then once my supply regulated after a few months, again it wasn’t removing all that much.

    Camping with an infant?

@ecclesiastian We camped starting at 8 months, no problem!! Bring a blanket or mat for playing on. Portable boosters make for a great high chair / place to feed and contain for meals. (I have the fisher price one) Sleep - no matter what we did my kids never slept great. Finally my oldest at 3...

Baby flipped to transverse at 39 weeks and now OB wants to schedule c-section without trying ECV

@cathyhlikesflowers I had an ECV - they told me it needed to be done before around 36 weeks I believe? Otherwise baby is too squished, and there’s not enough fluid. Honestly - it SUCKED even doing it at 45 weeks. It was super painful, you couldn’t eat the night before (they do it beside the OR...

Please help with my wash routine! I feel like I've tried everything and am feeling frustrated

@jazzytorres SUPER sensitive!! It’s a bit of a guess each time. So I do just diapers, a dime sized amount of regular tide on normal, warm, light soil. (Regular tide was the trick for me. The other soaps weren’t aggressive enough in the stupid gentle machine). Then I bulk to 2/3 full with any...

Please help with my wash routine! I feel like I've tried everything and am feeling frustrated

@anamarina That’s what I found!! The diapers eventually clued me in there’s something wrong. Then I noticed - hey sometimes the soap isn’t always dissolving in my regular loads. Then I found a trail of water and we really started taking things apart. I have an LG front loader now - it’s all...

Please help with my wash routine! I feel like I've tried everything and am feeling frustrated

@anamarina That sounds exhausting - good for you for keeping at it!!! I have soft water (a whole other set of issues) so I’m not much help - I don’t see any red flags. Aside from yes - your machine. I cloth diapered my oldest for 2+ years with no issues. I had both in cloth for a while. Then...
