@katrina2017 Even 3 week old babies need cuddles and interaction and they can obviously get tired and need quiet time or sleep.

@katrina2017 They also cry because they pooped their diaper, have gas, are feeling clingy and insecure and just want to be held, don't want to be swaddled, want to be swaddled, overtired, overstimulated, bored. So, lots of exceptions.
@yoshinat0r I have three. The first I allowed to comfort nurse and he was the worst sleeper ever. It was awful because he would only nurse to sleep so I had to take every night wake and I felt so trapped and grossed out; and worst of all he became so reliant he could NOT connect sleep cycles...
@luv100 Aww I feel you! They told me two weeks for the nipples to adjust but it took me six. It got so bad I cried every time we latched. Lanolin and breast shields are the bomb btw.
@luv100 Yes. And this x100000 when they suddenly go into a growth spurt or start cluster feeding...
Okay.. You can’t be hungry, because I literally just fed you 20 minutes ago. So I guess I’ll check your diaper, check if you’re too hot / cold, reswaddle you, burp you, cuddle you, burp you...
@cindyjay Co sleeping doesn’t influence how often the kids wake up or their sleep quality but does for the parents. Plenty of co sleeping cultures around with no greater incidence of sleep disorders eg Japan.

@rebecca4ever So ugghhhh!! At 4 days old most babies are still trying to regain their birth weight!!! WTF.
And in the early days when you're trying to learn to latch and exhausted and overwhelmed you really don't need that kind of negativity.
I'm so sorry big hugs
