Would a 10 hour drive be ridiculous with a 2 month old?

@effervescenteye For us, it was fine. We had to take breaks because it’s an electric vehicle, so we had to charge every 2-3 hours anyway (first really long trip with the car + baby). I’d say try it - but… definitely have a plan to just stop at a hotel in the middle. Don’t push yourselves more...

    i don’t wanna pump anymore

@brandon_d I pumped with my first baby and it was a mistake. It was sooo difficult to keep up pumping. Breastfeeding was so much better once I stopped pumping. With my second baby I didn’t pump at all, still exclusively breastfeeding, he’s four months old now. But just check baby’s growth...

What happens if I never sleep train my baby?

@opinionsareopinions 8 months is still a baby! Of course she’ll learn to be independent later, but now she’s so tiny. Co-slept, bed sharing and nursed my first baby to sleep, she’s now 4,5 and sleeps in her own bed (next to our bed). But she’s also spending the night having a sleepover at a...

I didn’t clean baby’s back properly and she had poop on it

@doublev It happens! Sometimes, I leave it on with a little stain if it’s inconvenient to change all the clothes right away. For example, if the stain is already dry but the baby is clean otherwise and we’re on the way home, I might wait until we’re home instead of changing all the clothes in a...

    Giving vitamin D + K

@schinokefalos Whatever works for you! There are a lot of good ideas in the thread, I’ll try the “drop on the nipple before breastfeeding” next.

    Giving vitamin D + K

@schinokefalos We have them in tablet form and put it on a spoon and add breast milk to it. Baby then licks the spoon and eats it all up. (Obviously you need to do it when the baby is awake and hungry… we made the mistake of doing it too late in the day a few times…)

How do you control your rage when your child physically hurts you?

@laurie4321 I have a four month old and a four year old, so I understand your struggle. It’s all hard, because sometimes I just need social media to feel like a person, you know? Can you ask someone to help you with food? Or watching the littlest one so you can shower? I don’t have a money...

How do you control your rage when your child physically hurts you?

@laurie4321 Oh, I feel you. I feel so much rage sometimes. It’s immediate. So what I try to do is make sure I get enough sleep. I know I’m so much worse if I haven’t slept enough. Then I try to be well rested and not stressed about other things. It sounds a bit stupid maybe, but I have to...

I was not expecting taking care of a newborn to be so hard

@atlanta The first 2-3 months are hard. The first month is a blur.
