    Upset

@nyvic Fuck that. Sorry, you’re doing what you can. I personally would address because this stress isn’t needed right now when you have enough going on than have to deal with their comments. They pulled something on me with daycare…so I asked if I was supposed to quit my job? They said well no...

Pumping more than baby is eating

@weeze I had a similar situation, son didn’t eat for two months and got up to 40 some oz/day. I ended up getting a freezer from facebook marketplace and had it filled. My son never learned to breastfeed, neither of my preemies did. If they do it still takes a while so you’ll still need to pump...

    Upset

@nyvic That’s what I always thought? Nurses kept commenting to me how it looks like I didn’t even have a baby. 🙄 please continue to validate my feelings of inadequacies as a mother.

Mentally struggling not being able to hold my baby

@jojowanyana Okay I’m sitting here wondering the same thing! Like I was able to hold my 30 weeker the day he was born (granted waiting until the afternoon felt long enough!). I had to wait 11 days with my 24 weeker, it took a team of people and I couldn’t move a muscle since he was on a...

Is NICU follow up necessary when seeing a pediatrician a few times a year?

@kimberly1988 Oh bummer! Yeah I would straight up tell them you can’t afford it and will work with your pediatrician. My youngest has Medicaid still (not sure why, got it when he was very sick with NEC in the nicu) so we haven’t seen a bill for him yet. I cannot imagine getting a surprise like...

Is NICU follow up necessary when seeing a pediatrician a few times a year?

@kimberly1988 $1200? Fuck no. My 30 weeker was supposed to go to these follow ups, but didn’t have space for him. My 24 weeker has been in a few times, didn’t cost us anything but has been an overall waste of time and added stress. The pediatrician and early on would be more than enough.

Big brother going to prek soon! How can I best protect baby?!

@erin30ga Both my 30w and 24w went to daycare. 30w got sick a lot, but now he’s golden and almost never gets sick lol. I’d be more cautious with a 24w though. He got really sick, but he had a lot of damage from the ventilator.
