@anthonycon3131 So we sit at his toddler table as we’ve found that’s best and he eats more so we both sit on the floor and he sits on a little chair and we eat round his table together (we do anything to get him to eat these days 😂). He’s 98th centile for height so he’s very tall for his age so...

@anthonycon3131 Tbh he’s an awful eater and we’ve tried everything to get him to eat. Our biggest success is all sitting round his toddler table 😂 he sits on his chair and me and my OH sit on the floor 😂😂 the things you do for you kid eh 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

@hail12 It’s definitely just modelling what he sees, I know I’m getting him involved but I’m surprised at how much he picks up! Just stuff you do out of habit you wouldn’t even think is a thing then you see him do it and you’re like omg he’s picked that up lol

@redeemed121 100% this! I involve my 21 month old in most chores! I do the bathroom while he’s sleeping because bleach and toddlers don’t mix 😂 but he everything with me and loves to be helpful! He’s learnt so much, he can actually wash dishes to sn acceptable standard (though I do go over...

    New parent tip from pediatrician

@brcseac Everything for a newborn is brand new snd they can barely see anything anyways! When my LO was newborn I just talked to him, give him random tours of his new house and cuddled him while binge watching Netflix trying desperately to stay awake 🙈 I constantly worried I wasn’t doing enough...

    New parent tip from pediatrician

@rdavis0720 I respectfully disagree. I’m in a Facebook group of women around the country who were all due same month as me and our babies are all around the 12 month mark with a few more birthdays left to go. Only a handful sleep trained the rest all used crutches and the last few weeks a good...

I had forgotten how different I am from other parents

@stevenmcg2005 It’s ridiculous in my opinion that people parent in any other way. My son is 19 months like I say snd him crying still feels like someone is ripping my heart out, I just can’t fathom how people can just ignore their child crying? Think the issue is people see babies/ toddlers as...

    New parent tip from pediatrician

@rdavis0720 I’ve not found this to be a crutch at all! My LO is slowly weaning himself off feeding to sleep naturally by himself, I just went with him, I didn’t try and force it on him. People are so scared of “sleep crutches” that they make their life needlessly harder! Babies grow older and...

I had forgotten how different I am from other parents

@morehumble Oh I’ve done all the “wrong” things according to my friends but when we all meet up and I’m looking at all the kids and I’m like have I done it wrong though? Cos from where I’m sitting it looks like I’m doing a bloody good job! And yes I’m smug and I do enjoy sitting there quietly in...

I had forgotten how different I am from other parents

@anniejey My son is 19 months and I still get told that I should just leave him to it when he’s having a tantrum, force him to sleep in his own bed, etc etc I even got told once I was too responsive to his needs, like how in the hell can a mother be too responsive?? It used to really get me down...

    New parent tip from pediatrician

@petercm So agree! My 12 month old is fed to sleep and doesn’t affect his sleep! Some nights he sleeps through, some nights wakes once or twice and some nights up hourly! Feeding to sleep hasn’t stopped him being able to connect sleep cycles, only thing that affects that is teething, illness...

I am team crib til college. Change my mind

@jacobsonofjohn My 13mo climbed out of his and went splat at 1am on the floor 🙈 so obviously took him to get checked out as it’s a big fall but he was thankfully fine! Doctor told us now he’s done it he’ll likely do it again so was time for a bed! Honestly that bed has transformed his sleep! He...

    New parent tip from pediatrician

@rdavis0720 My 12 month old is fed to sleep but naturally has started to spit out the bottle and put himself to sleep 2/3 times a week. That ability comes naturally with age.
