Floor bed for 4 month old: twin mattress?

@prodigalredeemed We ended up going with a crib mattress! The twin was both too big/soft for her and too small/firm for me to sleep comfortably with her. I felt so much safer with her on a proper crib mattress, plus it left more space in her room to play. I also got myself one of those trifold...

Weekend away from a breastfeeding toddler [x-posted from r/breastfeeding]

@hopes746 Hi! Yes, we went to the wedding and the tl;dr is that my worries ended up being overblown; it was tough being away for the first time but ultimately everything worked out! - We went for the bare minimum of two nights; I was really anxious at first but trusted MIL and knew kiddo was in...

Weekend away from a breastfeeding toddler [x-posted from r/breastfeeding]

@nelxoxox Thank you, this is really encouraging! Was your LO still nursing a lot at night at the time? One of my biggest worries is how she'll do at night since she still nurses 2-3x, but I don't really want to rush night weaning.

Weekend away from a breastfeeding toddler [x-posted from r/breastfeeding]

@lizmoshes We were considering that, but with cold and flu season we're nervous about her traveling at all. It's very likely she may be sick from daycare, and bringing a sick baby on an airplane/to a wedding in the middle of a pandemic seems like a bad idea. Plus the delta variant is picking up...

Weekend away from a breastfeeding toddler [x-posted from r/breastfeeding]

I originally posted this in r/breastfeeding but wanted to post it here too for an AP perspective. LO hasn't been away from me longer than a day at daycare and still nurses frequently when she's with me. Staying with grandma seems like the best solution to our situation but the thought has me...

Floor bed for 4 month old: twin mattress?

Hi all, I'm a FTM of a 3.5 month old who is rapidly out growing her bassinet. DH and I want to forgo the crib and try a Montessori floor bed for her, and like the idea of getting a twin. This would give us the option to cosleep/nurse to sleep as needed, but the hope is LO will mostly be sleeping...

    Haakaa breast pump

@enealexandru I have one of the knockoffs, NatureBond, and really like it. I use it during the first couple feedings of the day (diminishing returns after that) on the breast not being nursed and can get an easy 1-2 oz. It's especially helpful when I don't want to fiddle with my electric pump at...
