    Formula Feeding

@emann I'm EFF, did for my firstborn too. I don't feel guilty tho. I'm not doing anything but the best for my kids. :)

Please convince me that it’s okay to quit pumping

@msl74pc Since you asked for people who used formula exclusively and it turned out fine: My kids have never had a drop of breastmilk. It was a choice I made before I even got pregnant, because I knew it would not be in any way any less good for them than breastmilk, and I prefer it this way...

Your experiences formula feeding in public

@eilightened No one has ever said shit. My first was a COVID baby and so far I've only had #2 about 3 months, but I've whipped out the bottle in public on more than one occasion with both. I got weirder looks for talking too long to get the travel disc out of the bottle while a baby was crying...

    Paced bottle feeding?

@clarinetscore Are you combo or EFF? As I understand it paced feeding is mostly used for combo feeding to slow baby down and avoid a bottle preference. No need to slow baby down if they're EFF. Use responsive feeding instead...

    Mom shamed for formula feeding

@mikailao20 Don't think much of it now either. I promise she is *full of shit.* Formula is every bit as good as Breastmilk, and the only benefits that have stood up scientifically are either for premies, statistically so small as to be silly (one less earn infection or cold per 10 babies...

RTF formula: is it really necessary for newborns

@lewis5398 Not nessicary. It's a convenience. The powder can be prepared in a newborn safe fashion with heated water. I'm just lazy.

3 months baby drinking 4 oz in 6 mins, am I doing anything wrong?

@lorpro Should be fine as long as she ain't gagging or dribbling milk all over herself. In your shoes I'd add a burp break at the halfway mark and keep her upright for 10 min after feeding, just in case, and then just enjoy the reduced amount of time spent on MOTN feeds. 😁

    Need affirmation

@saxonity Relax. You are not choosing pills over what's "best." That's lactivist propaganda. Formula is just as good as breastmilk. I never even bothered to try BFing. Didn't feel like it. My 3 year old is healthy as a horse and "a delight" at the preschool. My month old is chugging down a...

I have some questions about this rtf formula I’m considering buying for when I come home from the hospital after birth

@kbo Yeah it's totally just to avoid them being pissy. They'll get over it if it's not possible, even if they yell at you about it at first.

I have some questions about this rtf formula I’m considering buying for when I come home from the hospital after birth

@kbo Yes you can switch. Make mixies if possible for a bit while switching over to avoid them getting mad at the taste change if they've been in the first one a long time. Yes you can pour into a separate bottle, in fact this is recommended as RTF formula should be discarded 2 hours after baby...
