@jdsnyd Actually she followed up by saying “I treasure my siblings so much and I know you want that for your daughter.” So….

“She needs a sibling,” says my sister in law

@onthepathtogod Oh you’re spot on. She is childless but not by choice. She doesn’t have a partner and has tried to conceive and adopt on her own many times the last 15 years and it’s been a heartbreaking experience for her. I know if she could have children she would probably have a bunch...

@katrina2017 Right! Also will they pay for hypothetical kid’s college? Come over to babysit when I’m sick? Shut your mouth, fam.

“She needs a sibling,” says my sister in law

I love my sister-in-law, I want to state that up front. My sister-in-law responded with the above message when my husband and I sent a group text to his sisters and mom with a picture of our 2.5 year old daughter in her newly-transitioned toddler bed. (It’s her crib but with the toddler rail...

Why isn’t this particular risk of back to back pregnancies ever discussed?

@heartthaw That is so interesting. Someone should write a book about the secret history of priests providing women birth control.
