Walk me through your laundry routine! I’ll start

@ava1453 When I can keep up with it, I'll go on a good streak and do a small load daily When I get lazy, it piles up and I spend quite a few miserable hours doing it 😬 Depends on the mood lol

Battery Toys w/o an Off Switch

@sabrinagrace Not at all. I don't even have a toddler yet, just a 2mo, and my husband tosses or turns down any toys given to us that make noise you can't control. He's a bit if a toy snob but I greatly appreciate it

Does anyone else’s kid survive on snacks and snacks only?

@markmendiola991 Unless those people are posting uncut footage of their toddler eating those whole meals from start to finish I'd take those "what my toddler eats in a day" videos with a grain of salt

“You’re so lucky you can afford to stay home”

@merekas Right...it's not luck, it's necessity and discipline. It does feel like they're minimizing the work us SAHPs do to save money for our households. Cooking, budgeting, household upkeep are all things that save us thousands in the long run. I consider that working towards the income, for...

    I’m just f%cking tired

@whateverist I'm glad you get to be home 😊 I follow the 50/30/20 rule for budgeting (50% of paycheck goes towards needs/bills, 30% is spending, 20% is savings). However, sometimes if our bills are higher that month, I'll do 60/20/20, or even 70/10/20, we just try not to spend too much because I...

    I’m just f%cking tired

@pencil_on_paper We've made some financial sacrifices and I do some hardcore budgeting in order to stay home and look after my baby. It's worth it. We're lower middle class but I don't even care. I'll take less money and getting to spend time with my son over a career any day. If we can get by...

    Close Before You Doze!

@nabthefool The automatic feeder was one of the best purchases we've ever made! They get several snacks during the day and one at night. We made sure the portion sizes weren't too big so they don't eat too much, but they eat frequently. Absolutely worth the $50 we paid for it

    Close Before You Doze!

@ermahgerd When I was pregnant, I refused to let my cats control this aspect of our lives, so we closed our door every night despite the constant meowing. There were some sleepless nights. Eventually, after about a week and a half, they stopped. Now they can tolerate our door and the baby's door...

Why IGs “They’re only little for 4 years” is so cringey

@knersus Yeah...it's funny because it's not like he hasn't put out hours upon hours of lectures for you to listen to and pick apart. But nobody can clip him and make it sound bad without misconstruing what he's saying

Why IGs “They’re only little for 4 years” is so cringey

@knersus That's how I always understood what he says, I've watched his full lecture. He says specifically "properly socialized", because like you've already stated, the most important social development is done from ages 2-4. This is already backed by research. Whenever he's talked about...
