    Calling all Velcro baby mamas

I found some good advice on this post from a while back https://www.reddit.com/r/AttachmentParenting/s/ALZR01HN63 Anyone tried any of this to transition baby to crib? I would be fine with baby in crib for first stretch and then in our bed from 10 pm.

    5.5 month struggling with daycare

UPDATE: he basically has another massive meltdown today less than 1hour after we dropped him off. The nanny has said that we should look into another solution, maybe a nanny that comes to our house. She said she’s never seen a baby like this and she doesn’t know how to calm him down. Seems like...

    Calling all Velcro baby mamas

@dougalqc I feel this! A friend of mine decided to do a meal service for a month because she just didn’t have time to cook or clean. I am going to look into that and see if it’s budget friendly for me for a little bit. If I can quickly pop something in the microwave and eat before he needs to...

    5.5 month struggling with daycare

@megbower316 Thank you this is very helpful! I’ve definitely been wearing a scarf to give the nanny. I feel like her perfume is so strong because the baby comes back smelling like her. I will ask her if she can stop wearing it for a few days. I love the idea of a video as well. It could be...

@fskiddles This is what I suggested to my husband earlier today because as it is, baby will start crawling at some point so we need it to be safer for him.

    5.5 month struggling with daycare

@eleader22 Today was a better day and he did fall asleep with the nanny, but then woke up and was upset. We had to get him again and it seems he was hungry. Don’t think the nanny tried to feed him. He jumped on me and was trying to get to my boobs as soon as he got home. I have a question...

    5.5 month struggling with daycare

@eleader22 These are very good tips. My husband is on leave so we can try to actively work on this. I am back to work but can probably make my schedule flexible to try to put the baby down for a nap there. My husband went there last week for 1 nap and he did fine with him. I’ve already put...

    Calling all Velcro baby mamas

@keepinitreal For me the day time is fine, I love contact napping, it’s my favorite part of the day. I can rock him to sleep and then I watch Netflix on my phone or read. My husband has gotten him to sleep in stroller so he’ll take him out for walks on nice days and I get some down time that...

    5.5 month struggling with daycare

Hi all - we started a daycare transition period for my LO last week and it’s been touch and go. He has been EBF, contact naps and co-sleeps since he was born, so he is very attached. We are starting super slowly with a few hours and trying to work up to one nap there. He’s been great when it...

    Calling all Velcro baby mamas

@jdcnosse Baby falls asleep on me and the transfer have woken him up in the past. I need to move up my dinner time to before he sleeps, but he is falling asleep at 7 so that’s a really early dinner for me. My husband helps out a lot but sleep hasn’t worked so well with him.

    Calling all Velcro baby mamas

@love4truth I can’t even get 5 minutes in a bassinet. He turns into an owl and eyes fly open. I once got him to sleep in a pack & play for 13 minutes. I think I gave up trying to transfer after that. It was exhausting to start over trying to put him back to sleep again. I just gave into...

4 month regression? Almost 17 weeks and now refuses bassinet. Unsafe sleep situation last night.

@sweetkf I have a 4 month old that started doing the same thing in terms of fighting the naps. I had to make sure that I was in the sleepy sweet spot for him to fall asleep from rocking/patting. I find that if he starts crying, he’s not tired yet and then I put him down to play for 5 more...

    Calling all Velcro baby mamas

Are you using a nounou or is your baby in the crèche, with an assignant maternelle? I have so much anxiety about how he will be with the assistante maternelle when I have to go back to work.

    Calling all Velcro baby mamas

@thatguyagain Nope also American, from Atlanta originally. I have two other mom friends who have the same issue. One of them kept trying the bassinet and can now get 30 minutes naps in there. She kept trying. Another one ended up sleep training and he took to it after a week. I’m not sure I am...

    Calling all Velcro baby mamas

@thatguyagain Yes I am!! I’m in Normandy now, but lived in Paris for like 16 years. For some reason, my son’s sleep schedule jumped up and he’s now out by 7. Mine is sleeping on me too. I usually have one arm snaked around his neck to type with two. I do exactly what you are saying in the...

    Calling all Velcro baby mamas

@thatguyagain How are you having dinner?? It’s 9pm where I am right now and baby was sleeping on me since 5:30 pm because he had crap naps. Husband woke him up at 7pm accidentally. I put him down upstairs again and tried to come down at 8pm and he woke up. Back up I went and still haven’t had...

    Calling all Velcro baby mamas

@gowdy Ugh my guy doesn’t like to be in baby carrier for more than 10-15 mins. I should try getting him to sleep in it and see if to works.

    Calling all Velcro baby mamas

@gowdy I don’t mind him in my bed, but is there a way for him to be in my bed for a couple of hours without me? Just enough for dinner, brushing my teeth? 😭

    Calling all Velcro baby mamas

@dudemandapanda Oh the peeing is the worst!! I need to hydrate because of breastfeeding but then I can’t get up to pee! I usually got at like 2 in the morning. He’s dead asleep then and I can get in and out.
