    Redshirting in preschool

@tgia413 It's not allowed where I live but we wouldn't do it even if it was. My son will start kindergarten in the fall about a week after his 5th (August) birthday. Honestly from your description I'd guess they're suggesting that based on their current availability and ratios and/or hoping to...

Updated Guidance for Covid bivalent eligibility for under 5 with Q&A

@pikceedust My kids got Covid between dose 1 and 2 so we were advised to get dose 2 as soon as they were well, which kept us just barely within recommended gap. My understanding is the recommendations that are 90days after infection are based on the idea that if you just had covid you have...

    Exclusively breastfeeding vs Pumping?

@robinrocks When people say exclusively breast feeding they usually mean breast milk as opposed to formula, not necessarily at the breast vs pumped breast milk. The possible advantages to direct vs pumping is more on you than baby in terms of less dishes etc, but can make you feel touched out or...

Babywearing questioned by total stranger at Costco, said he was a “former physician”

@mannyman So I guess he’s also opposed to rear facing car seats? Do people really think people should literally never take their eyes off their child? That’s not healthy and slightly unhinged to me.

    Toddler carriers

@glass1985 My understanding is hip dysplasia isn’t as much of a concern after the first 6-12 months. Seems unlikely it wouldn’t be identified when they start walking unless it was a very mild case. The fit/carry on a toddler or even an 11 month old is different than an infant under 6 months...
