@sweetascandy1990 We didn’t start using any plastic toys until my son stopped chewing toys around 10-12 months. He is 18 months now and doesn’t put anything in his mouth. I think it just depends on the kid. Some kids mouth toys more than others.

@listenordont I don’t think it’s the plastic that’s the problem. My kid has duplo blocks and plastic colorful toys that we love. It’s the electronic and noisy toys that are the problem. I really love the RIE method of parenting, and they are similar to Montessori in that toys should be open...
