Hello, it’s me, the ANTILOP hater here. What’s a better high chair?

@ruatruechristian That’s the one, he climbs right out. I think I need one with shoulder harnesses. I posted separately about the other reasons I hate the high chair too!

Daughter coming home after TBI Wednesday, I’m terrified and full of fear even after trying to be grateful and hopeful. My heart aches

@tim_goodnews Im so sorry to hear this. I just wanted you to know that I am a music therapist and I work with TBI - possibly worth exploring as a therapy that might seem more “fun” or accessible for your daughter? We’re probably not even in the same country, I’m not suggesting me specifically...

Hello, it’s me, the ANTILOP hater here. What’s a better high chair?

I can’t do anything at meal times because my baby constantly climbs out of his high chair. I’m wondering if anyone has this Mocka high chair and can tell me if you can strap the kiddo in good?? Or any other suggestions for high chairs where I could eat my dinner without constantly wrestling a...

Why does everyone love the IKEA high chairs?

@heatherfeather Hmm i just gave him lunch and tried. It sits on the top of his thighs, under his belly. And the straps are loosened with pressure/pulling.

@heatherfeather I must be doing it wrong. My baby is >99th %ile in height and weight

Why does everyone love the IKEA high chairs?

@heatherfeather The straps don’t go over the shoulders so he just... climbs out... I lifted him out one night, and the next day went to put him in and noticed the straps were still done up from the night before

Why does everyone love the IKEA high chairs?

@cankosker Yep for sure. My son constantly hikes his knee up into the seat (literally, constantly from as soon as he’s in the seat) so no hip-knee benefit for us

Why does everyone love the IKEA high chairs?

@michaelcanter777 You’re so right haha, $25 is no harm done! We do baby led weaning too and use the tray as the plate but I find it fiddly to remove. Glad you like it, I figured some people must like it but just needed a rant haha

Why does everyone love the IKEA high chairs?

We got an ANTILOP high chair from IKEA after hearing everyone rave about how great they are, you don’t need to spend more money etc. But I hate it. Everyone who has been in our house has tripped on it. My baby could get himself right out of it at 9 months which means I can’t leave arms reach...
