How did my mom do it

@j2019 So I read through your post and honestly I would get a full panel of blood work done especially all of the thyroid hormones. My thyroid went right after kids and this is how I felt. I was barely functioning, had no energy and would wake up and promptly need a nap. Make sure you're...

How did my mom do it

@j2019 You're already doing almost 12 hour shifts -- it's just that some of the time is spent on the commute.

My mom died, I inherited her shares to the family company and my uncle says I’m not ready to lead after 13 years of hard work

@imran520 This is exactly what I came to say. Get rid of him. He makes your company look bad and if you move into CEO position, and he remains, he will actively work against you.

Teen turning 18 in a few years! 😱

@corydm27 I could not see ever kicking my kid out as long as they were making a good faith effort to work/go to school/grow up. There would need to be some significant issues for me to consider it.

Should a 13 year old be out at midnight?

@historyincognito You are well within your rights to -- she is 13, not 17-18 though even when my daughter was that age, I still texted her when she was out too late. A month ago, a 17 yr old girl driving home from a local party died when she hit a tree at high speed. I don't mess around with...

Should a 13 year old be out at midnight?

@historyincognito This happened to me when my daughter was that age as well. They really start to push against limits. I'd check in with the parent where she was sleeping over. It's possible the mother allows it (I was often shocked by what some of the parents allowed). I used to text my...

    Is it really slut shaming?

@signsofthetimes Ok that’s different and I’m glad you know who the girl is. I’m still always careful in these situations because you never know if the person you’re chatting with is who they say they are. It’s so easy to hide! Good luck!

    Is it really slut shaming?

@signsofthetimes Mentioning her mother is a cop doesn’t mean anything - it could be a way for the person to gain trust. Ditto on knowing the other friend unless they’ve met in real life. You should look into some of the common Instagram scams perpetrated on teens...

    Is it really slut shaming?

@signsofthetimes Honestly it's much more likely that your kid is getting scammed or catfished. That exchange and how quickly it progressed is extremely sketchy. I have an almost 17 yr old daughter and they aren't even really on instagram (snapchat is the social media of choice). You might want...
