How to support a gifted child?

@apostolic1 It helped that I had an older brother so I used his past materials. My brother was smart but not gifted and my mom was very good at highlighting his qualities, which I did not have. We both had our strengths and weaknesses. One thing I should mention is that she did require me that...

How to support a gifted child?

@aegisheart I was told I was gifted when I was around 4 years old and I started first grade at 5. I learned quickly and got bored easily. However, my mother did not wanted to keep making me skip grades because I was already having a tough time socially being the youngest of first grade...

Those who had a C-section, what were you able to do for baby while recovering from surgery?

@primarymay Husband will be home in paternity leave for 2 weeks and he will work from home 1-2 weeks after that so at least those 2 weeks he will be 100% focused on us. After that his attention will be divided but I'm hoping to be feeling better, based on some of the other comments.

Those who had a C-section, what were you able to do for baby while recovering from surgery?

@iknowthetruth Lots of new info here! Were you able to take showers or did you had to just wash yourself with a sponge? It's a great idea to start practicing how to do stuff without adding pressure to the abs. Thanks for sharing!

Those who had a C-section, what were you able to do for baby while recovering from surgery?

@fran2250 Thank you! Yes, I need to be prepared to ask for help and try to soak in those moments. If I'm going to be bound to a chair or couch with my baby, at least I'll try to make the most out of it.

@truthspeakah I'm hoping I get a recovery as smooth as yours but yes, I'll have to listen to my body. It's wild how everyone is so different.

Those who had a C-section, what were you able to do for baby while recovering from surgery?

@blithesome This sounds so difficult. So many kudos for managing. Was there something that you did that helped you achieve this without popping your stitches open or delaying your recovery?

My bonus was pro-rated to deduct my maternity leave

@mh86 Yeah some companies just don't care, I had a friend whose coworker said "well, you decided to get pregnant" when she was commenting on all her extra hours.

Those who had a C-section, what were you able to do for baby while recovering from surgery?

@shannmisteri I have to watch those videos, I really haven't yet. Thank you for your words. Some people are thinking is an easy way out or that I'll be putting so much stress in my husband (he doesn't think this but his family does). It just makes sense from the medical standpoint and it also...

Those who had a C-section, what were you able to do for baby while recovering from surgery?

@shannmisteri Thank you for the detailed answer. There are some of these we won't be able to solve, as our condo is on the 2md floor. So even to get in I have to climb stairs but I can plan for the other things. Were you able to use the band since the beginning or do you have to wait some time...
