    @meshaa my nephew Gabriel was upset when i said words in german and said very clearly "apfel" is dad, mimi is manzana (both my sister and I spoke spanish to him) and the common language to us three adults was french (so he actually said "nooooo, apfel c'est papa! mimí c'est manzana!"

    @matthew0101 how often do you visit your family in Galicia? and how often do they visit you? one solution would be that your relatives adress him in Galician. i presume you usually use that language when you're with them. your son will learn the language on those visits :-) otherwise you can...

    @jmz bilingual kids have often no delay at all. what I mean is that bilingualism is not the cause of speech delay. bilingual children are not most often delayed than monolingual children.
