Family making inappropriate comments about my baby

@obedientsacrifice Listen, and I mean this wholeheartedly: if something that's being done to, or about your child, bothers you, then WHO CARES IF YOU MAY BE OVERREACTING: You have every right to stop it right there. That's your child and it's your duty to protect her and put her first. Your...

If I Could Send a Shopping List Back in Time

@vadadell We used to use room temp water..but then the temps dropped and the pipes got cold..and now the water we get is cold, which is nice for us (I'll even put ice in mine!) but no bueno for LO. So we had to get the dang bottle warmer quickly! When I was pregnant I'd save lists like yours to...

If I Could Send a Shopping List Back in Time

@vadadell We understand some people prefer buying used, but it's ok to go new for everything baby-related. We don't trust used stuff, tbh. I also disagree on the Dock a Tot. These are outgrown very quickly, they're just a $300 pillow with bumpers, the genuine ones are very expensive b/c the...

Can anyone recommend a car seat ecosystem for me?

@lackswisdom What about Evenflo? We got the Revolve Gold 360 or something and we all (incl. baby) friggin love it. I wish more car seats spun b/c it's such a game-changing feature. ETA: Nvm this can't attach to a stroller, wah wah. But we got it after noticing LO was about to outgrow his infant...

    Baby swing

@bustinjustin Yes!! It's definitely a 2-1. It swings in both directions and the seat can be taken out so it works as a rocker on its own. It plays lullabies and white noise too. It's adorable and very versatile.

    Baby swing

@bustinjustin My parents gifted us that FP swing last year at the start of the pandemic (though it was the previous model that was being sold then, which is just different colors and owlies on the top by the mirror). LO lovvved it: he'd nap on it for a couple of hours every evening + the...

Are obnoxious colourful plastic toys really that bad?

@listenordont I like your question but I don't have any research to back up my instincts or those of previous generations of parents across the globe who share my preferences. We have a Lovevery subscription and LO (10M) enjoys those toys a lot. But he also really likes his noisy, plastic toys...

Are obnoxious colourful plastic toys really that bad?

@leematthew1234 What a great, thoughtful answer!! I like how it bridges the gap between both POVs and calls attention to NOT the material, but what the toy's meant to do. I, too, hate the toys that call LO back after he's done w/them, so I make sure to turn them off every time, haha.

Need advice on finalizing my registry

@2withjesus We used the Arms Reach "Co Sleeper Clear Vue" bassinet. Can't recommend it enough. It provided REALLY easy access to LO (you can remove the wall so LO's basically a little bellow you), and the straps go under your mattress so it doesn't move one bit when you don't want it to. As for...

    How much formula?

@bignfat5 As you know, all babies are different, so I don't feel comfortable sharing how much yours should be drinking b/c only your baby knows or how much mine is drinking, etc. In my Bumpers Sub, there are 25lb 6MO babies, whereas our 7MO is close to 20 (and all are normal) so that should help...

Correct Water Temperature for Mixing Powdered Formula - Conflicting Recommendations

@heidisolonely Room temperature reverse osmosis water. When our RO filters are done and we're waiting for new ones, we use distilled water. We've never boiled any of the water we use.
