Second IUI- Day 11 scan- multiple follicles.

@frpjshortt It’s assumed a follicle that’s minimum 18 mm contains a mature egg. Follicles grow at a rate of ~1-3 mm/day. Larger lead follicles can often ‘suck up’ injectable FSH. But imo that’s a fairly even cohort you’ve got growing. Anything that’s minimum 15 mm can contain a mature egg. All...

Officially 1 Year TTC. Feeling defeated

@bicdean And I’ll be 30 here in a couple months! I used to say I wanted to be done having kids before 30. Oh how the universe laughed at my well-laid plans lol

Officially 1 Year TTC. Feeling defeated

@shaseeksgod Yeah a girl I used to be friends with, who got pregnant with her living child after my Sept ‘21 loss, just announced yesterday she’s pregnant again. It was a bigger gut punch than I was anticipating. What my life could have, should have, would have been. It’s all so so hard. Hugs to...

Officially 1 Year TTC. Feeling defeated

@ebarnes We started ttc when I was 26. Letting go of what I thought my life would look like and the plan I had for my life has been one of the hardest parts of experiencing infertility. If you haven’t looked yet, the wiki here and over at r/infertility is a wealth of knowledge. Hold pls I’ll...

Officially 1 Year TTC. Feeling defeated

@romans126 Yeah something about infertility…you can have all the sex in the world for years and still not get pregnant when it technically should work.

What milestones were hardest for you on your TTC journey?

@nikolaj They had me in their faces on Wednesday at advocacy day, telling them all about my hot flashes from being in medically induced menopause for the last month and losing my hair because of all the hormone fluctuations I’ve had lately, which tbh is equivalent to catching some hands for...

    Not sure what’s normal anymore!

@jadorarie I experience all these things in medicated cycles. It’s most likely progesterone causing those symptoms. The HCG from the trigger shot encourages your body to make more progesterone than normal, so I always have much higher progesterone (and progesterone related symptoms) in the TWW...

What milestones were hardest for you on your TTC journey?

@loakeohna I really appreciate it, we hope it can happen too. And I know those legislators are tired of hearing from us and seeing our faces so I know they hope it happens too 🤣 Never ask how something can get worse, because it somehow always can!

    Theory on diagnosis?

@si1 Endometriosis is a really tough diagnosis to understand and swallow, at least it has been for me. And I’m a healthcare girly lol! For the doctors to just shrug and say ‘we don’t know!’, even with a diagnosis, has been disheartening to say the least. I had a lap for a few reasons. My...

What milestones were hardest for you on your TTC journey?

@mo I’ve muted everyone on Instagram that has gotten pregnant since we’ve been trying. I accidentally saw the number yesterday - 78! Knife to the heart!!

    Theory on diagnosis?

@si1 Yeah I didn’t have any symptoms of endo either, other than an endometrioma they could see on the ultrasound. And infertility. Truthfully they don’t really know why endo causes infertility. I’ve seen theories about inflammation and egg quality issues, but they really truly don’t know. It’s...

    Theory on diagnosis?

@si1 I commented on your repost in r/infertilitysucks, but what kind of answers are you looking for with a theory for diagnosis? You have diagnosed endometriosis. That is a diagnosis. I also have endo, and my endo also doesn’t cause me pain (well, didn’t used to), but it’s the cause of my...
