    Self soothing and co sleeping

@joe1982 what? not possible for a routine with a baby who can't self soothe is nuts. thats not true. you can have a routine AND be flexible in the sense that you come to baby and respond when she cries. i cosleep and we have a great routine! happy to share it if you want

My baby can’t sleep without my nipple in her mouth and I’m losing my sanity

@ss158bu we just moved her to a floor bed in her room too!! my husband takes shifts with me about half of the time, and that's super helpful, but she is NOT a happy camper when that happens. She cries pretty much the whole time and doesn't get good rest :/ Hopefully over time she gets used to it...

My baby can’t sleep without my nipple in her mouth and I’m losing my sanity

@brendang I’ve tried so many different kinds!! She doesn’t like them, she gags on them or just chews on them and spits them out 😂😭 the closest I got to her taking one was with ninni co... maybe I just need to practice more with her?

My baby can’t sleep without my nipple in her mouth and I’m losing my sanity

Her sleep was very manageable - pack n play next to our bed with 1 or 2 nightly wakeups, and then at 6am or so I’d move her to the bed with me for the final few hours. Then we took a month long trip to my in-laws in another state and she could NOT sleep there. We had to fall asleep next to her...

My baby is 12 months. Can I fall asleep with her in my arms now?

@pshreve it didn't help :(( i ended up having to stack meds and gave tylenol several hours later, which finally helped. idk what was hurting her though!

My baby is 12 months. Can I fall asleep with her in my arms now?

@pshreve haha! ugh see my problem is that she is fine to roll away, but then she'll just fidget and reposition herself over and over again like she's uncomfortable. On nights like these, she just seems like she's in too much discomfort to sleep anywhere other than in mine or her dad's arms

My baby is 12 months. Can I fall asleep with her in my arms now?

@jonhansen thank you so much!! Def will check that book out. We transitioned from cosleeping to independent sleep (with many many wakes) about 6 months ago so i'm all about trying to get her to sleep better on her own if she'll tolerate it.

My baby is 12 months. Can I fall asleep with her in my arms now?

@jonhansen thank you so much. Just reading your experience is making me feel better. my husband and i are slowly losing our minds due to lack of sleep. everyone said it would be better by 1 ... and it is, but there are still way more bad nights than i'd have expected. how long did it take for...

My baby is 12 months. Can I fall asleep with her in my arms now?

@meki do you have any tips to reduce the crushing feeling?? maybe my problem is that every time I've had her on my chest, I've been laying flat on the bed.

My baby is 12 months. Can I fall asleep with her in my arms now?

@brightmoon I'm a very light sleeper and would feel comfortable chest sleeping, but she's 25 pounds so it feels like I'm suffocating, haha.

My baby is 12 months. Can I fall asleep with her in my arms now?

She's always been an awful sleeper, but she's sleeping EXTRA horribly right now, I don't know what's going on, I think growth spurt/teething. The only way she wanted to sleep last night was in my arms. She was restless and uncomfortable while cosleeping, cried when put down in her crib, etc...

    Celebration! 🎉

@deltoots This is awesome!! I have a super similar setup to you with the same difficulties of wanting extra time to myself, with my husband, etc but also wanting my baby to be secure and supported. Ive perfected the ninja roll to a tee haha. It’s comforting to read other similar stories because...

Preparing for the pitcher method as a FTM

@sarnmere My girl will drink her milk ice cold and it is a huge blessing !! So I’d say try to skip the warmer if you can unless your baby requires warm milk. Pitcher is great but i just pour a new bottle each time she’s hungry rather than pre-make bottles unless I’m prepping for overnight
