Who should call who to congratulate?

@jerib She should have called. They’re being petty. What DH should do is communicate NOW what he will and won’t be reaching out to them on. Birthday invites? Holiday plans? Invites to hang out? How often you’ll send a picture or update? Draw your boundaries. If they want something beyond that...

What is it like going from 1-2 or 2-3 kids with 2 full time working parents?

@infomommax We have 4 kids (3 bio, 1 step). Our biggest issue is we have kids at 3 different schools, sports are all at different times, and it’s just hard to get everyone to the right place at the right time. Financially we make it work fine, time with the kids ends up working out (in shifts)...

    Witching Hour… W T F

@becky_jewel I feel this. We purposely planned for a May baby the second time around so we could walk at night. I use to go walk rounds with the stroller in the mall with my oldest (a January baby).

Can we normalize asking babies genders before assuming?

@linktogunner My 3.5 boy has never had a haircut. He has BEAUTIFUL curly hair that’s about shoulder length. Typically I put it in a ponytail or braid. He looks all boy, is built like a tank, and people still call him a girl. I just think it makes them look silly. I always just say something...

    Fashionable shoes?

@mike12912 Chelsea boots in fall winter, Birkenstocks, Vans, or Adidas Superstars in the spring/summer. I still do black or nude heels for the office.

    When to expect “firsts”

@linley Keep in mind milestones are just an average. You’ll have some babies doing it at 4 weeks and some doing it at 7-8 weeks. All three of my kids were probably closer to 6-7 weeks. Smile comes first, laugh is definitely later.

2 hours of crying - question

@alf This. Sometimes outside time or a bath can help. It’s normal but it will get better.

Feeling like a bit of a failure

@byhimforhim Mom of 4 here, this is NORMAL. You aren’t doing anything wrong at all. 2.5 hour stretch is totally normal. You get a little bit better with knowing cries and anticipating needs with subsequent kids, but what they don’t tell you is most of kid’s ability to sleep and how well you...
