@gabrielagg I dont think so,, actually, he had some problems in the womb, something about the placenta not giving him the nutrients he needed and all. However he's pretty much OK now (it's a miracle he's alive after all) with the only problem being his low weight and rejection to food.

@benf We tried giving him Herber's once, but he inmediately rejected it and cried when he had it in his mouth 😭

@nicole198 Well, before he started eating food he would take at best 6 ounces of formula. As of right now, in a whole day he drinks in total 22 ounces, which i'm starting to think is not enough.

@balletgirl A bit of a problem here--he wont drink the formula either, and since he's already low in weight it's probably not our best alternative...but thank you for commenting anyways

@christianseamstress Thank you for this! I'll see if we can copy a bit of your schedule haha. Sadly he has been drinking 22 oz per day, so maybe if we give him like 24 or even 32 he might gain the missing weight.

@myjehovahrapha Yes he is! I'm very happy about it haha. Just a few months ago he couldn't even open his hands properly, but with some weeks of physical therapy he has managed to accomplish all of his milestones. He's just turned 8 months old this December, and he's already crawling at fast...

@myjehovahrapha I wish that was the case, but he's underweight according to the ped. Honestly he doesn't look bony or anything concerning but I would call him on the thinner side for a baby.

@myjehovahrapha That's exactly how we feed him his formula, the problem is that he only drinks about 5 oz max in each bottle. So in a day he drinks 22 oz, which is not enough, any tips for making him eager to drink at least 6-7 oz per bottle?

@arengs Actually, we've been doing that without even knowing it had a name lmao. The problem is that lately he's been completely reluctant to eating a single bite or drinking his formula, giving him his proper nutrition is like fighting with a bear everyday. I wish it didn't have to be like this :(

@nekiera Hi! We actually started giving him passion fruit juice because he'd get constipated quite often, but you're right, the veggies should be enough to prevent that anyways. My mom just told me that he drinks formula at around 6 am and then takes his breakfast at around 8-9 when he wakes up...

@nicole198 Thank you, many people have been talking about the formula being more important and I have to say i'm very grateful for this advice. We'll prioritize the formula and see how he's going at his next appointment in January.

@yaquirisv Thank you for your advice! It's nice to hear from an experienced mother. About my mom-- she's always been this way, I PROMISE, otherwise I would be worried for her well being, but she's always had a hard time dealing with stressfull situations and tends to take it out on others...
