    Confused about sleep and formula

@nader1 I only have my own experience, which is that my kid is 8 weeks old and 100% formula fed. Has been since he popped out. He's been a great sleeper since he came into the world - with the exception of the first few days. At the hospital the nurses told us to keep him awake to feed him more...

Setting up a routine isn’t a priority right now

@terrastorm My kid set his own schedule, at about 4-5 months old. It feels like we've had a routine forever at this point, like I barely remember a point where he didn't have a routine. So I feel like if I was having this conversation with someone I know, my reaction would also be surprised that...

5am wake ups - is this just the norm for some babies?

@eldersmith I joke that my kid is on my farming schedule. 7pm bedtime, 5am wakeup!

    How to dispose soft poop

@calebes It's a super common practice and honestly, the number of times I read about it before starting to cloth diaper was enough to turn me off of cloth diapers entirely. I stumbled upon someone talking about a bidet and spray pal one day and only then did I think "yes, I can do that". When I...

    Confused about sleep and formula

@bluedragon1988 This is naturally the pattern that my partner and I fell into. As soon as he comes home from work he takes over with the baby and I shower, eat or feed myself and my partner, and go to bed. He sleeps on the couch while the kid is in the pack n play, taking care of all baby needs...

So glad we did cloth diapers - r/all had a room full of disposable diapers

@edenstorm That was my first thought. I originally just assumed we were going to just go with the flow and do disposables, but my partner had apparently made up his mind before I had even thought about it, and we're going to do cloth. When I saw that picture and all I could think was "look at...

Tired of “words I can’t pronounce”

@genxjeff I'm a horticulturist so I'll respond with the proper names of vegetables when people say trash like that. "Do you eat Brassica oleracea? var. gemmifera? What about italica? Yeah that's what I thought, eat your greens and grow some brain cells"

Setting up a routine isn’t a priority right now

@terrastorm The only "routine" I had at 2 months was changing the baby out of pjs in the morning and into pjs at night. And that was enough. He did his own thing and we were all happier for it.

“No DoNt Do ThAt YoU’LL HaVe To cLeAn ThE DiApErS!!!!!!!” - half our family/friends reactions when I said we’re doing cloth

@annaabrahami That's exactly what I said to people who were shocked about cloth. "I bought someone's load of cloth diapers to last from newborn to potty training for $75". That shut them up
