    What’s the obsession with teeth?!

@balaclava I totally understand this. Sleep is a touchy subject. Our family and most people we talk to are definitely obsessed with sleep and milestones. My mom asks how many times a night does he wake up to feed, but it’s still less triggering than when MIL asks whether my baby is crawling...

    What’s the obsession with teeth?!

@antiteck Oh boy, I’d stop going over to MIL’s if she ever dared say anything like that. Just let babies be babies. They lament they grow so fast… yet they do this crap anyway!

    What’s the obsession with teeth?!

@antiteck Not going to lie, I don’t even want to see my MIL because of it. I was already worried about my baby hitting milestones because he’s a late roller and born premature. And MIL seems to forget my baby was born 4 weeks premature. She started asking at 6 months also, whether our baby was...

    What’s the obsession with teeth?!

@meanstreak60 Haha with my MIL it’s “is he crawling yet??” People just need to stop asking if baby has done X yet. It can be triggering for parents worried about things or just simply gets repetitive. Just ask, “so, anything new with baby?”

gestational diabetes while low carb--Is the test wrong if I don't carb-load for days before?

@plope132 If you’re already having a low carb diet, then you shouldn’t have any issue following a diet appropriate for those with GD. I was never given specific instructions on how to eat or what to eat. You should be eating as you normally would for the diagnosis to be accurate. A GD...

Minimal weight gain at 19 weeks pregnant w/ baby #2

@ergo Everyone is different. I gained only 5 pounds by about 20 weeks. Most of my weight gain was from mid to late second tri. My doctor hadn't been concerned at any point about my weight gain - I'm 35 weeks and now at 22 lbs, but I stalled at a total of 16-18 lbs of weight gain between weeks 28...

Ads and instructions for the Fisher Price Newborn Rock n Play Sleeper

@bharati21 Also soft… with a stuffed bunny. Two other no no’s. Edit: is all the info concerning “it’s not an issue if used properly?” Because yes clearly in the ad and instructions… it’s advertised as a sleeper perfect for overnight and naps. Which would be considered proper use according to...

What does sleep through the night mean and when?

@miltonjs It means staying in crib and not requiring intervention. My boy is a good sleeper and still wakes in the middle of the night. But he usually doesn’t complain and goes back to sleep on his own. He’ll move around, have some water, then roll back to sleep.
