Who here has a mediocre relationship with their sibling(s)?

@ernesjohnson I have three siblings. An amazing relationship with one, meh with the other two. That's a numbers game I'm not willing to play.

    Gentle C Section

@pringles24 I had a planned C-section and like others have said, it wasn't "gentle" but it was extremely easy and pleasant, all things considered. I didn't request music and honestly, from the time I walked into the OR to the time baby was out was like 6 minutes? Maybe 8? It really went fast and...

    Gentle C Section

@jun4jesus I had a solid curtain and my OB warned my husband that a C-section is one of the bloodiest surgeries and that it was best not to look. He did 🙃

Baby Solely Turning Head to Left

@emilyjackt If baby has shoulder dystocia, you should be seeing PT and/or OT no matter what. I know you said it looks like CMT but there are other, more serious things that can have a similar presentation so please make sure you get a professional evaluation ❤️

@moontan13 Oh yeah, I wore a ton of swing dresses and added leggings when it got chilly out

Seeking advice from people who “moved home” to be close to family

@gypsysoule Ugh I'm sorry you also had that experience. I suggest definitely weighing that heavily in your decision ❤️

    Maternity clothes

@torn12 I have a crazy long torso and often wear short, stretchy dresses as long shirts. When I was pregnant, they became just shirts.

I’m struggling to know - what’s worth swapping?

@andrew6297 I've always had a very sensitive sense of smell but still enjoyed the smell of perfume, "fresh linen" etc but since cutting it out, I have found I like it a whole lot less. And yes, it lingers like crazy!

Seeking advice from people who “moved home” to be close to family

@patticakez I live 20 minutes from my parents and they have provided zero tangible help. Well, maybe like two meals when he was a newborn. And my mom always goes on and on about how much she loves babies and little kids. Sure Jan. That being said, I still have an amazing village of friends and...

I’m struggling to know - what’s worth swapping?

@tfran This is a good, realistic list. It generally falls in those categories, but another easy "rule" I use now is no artificial fragrance

Looking for new laundry detergent for sensitive skin and allergies?

@ellenp I use the ecos magnolia and Lily (bc that's what my Costco has) and run only cold water loads and it works great. Son has eczema that seems to be pretty seasonal so I don't think it's an issue there. Husband and I have generic adult sensitive skin and have no problems with it

In case anyone needs it: this is the official permission post for parents living in places with sub-freezing weather to relax on screen time and food

@simondarok Minnesotan here! Yesterday morning the feels like temp was -30F (right now we're up to a balmy -23), which means exposed skin can get frostbite in 10 minutes. I assume less for my toddler's still-fresh skin. I love winter and we get outside almost everyday (toddler recently...

Breech baby, planned C Section, any benefits of going into labor before C Section?

@brothernature Rough. My guy was sunny side up and huge so back labor was likely. Thanks for the confirmation!

Will i ever not be tired again?

@charlie319 We generally go on family free days so if we have to ditch, we're not out a bunch of money and the other patrons expect kids. It's a great way to test the waters!

Breech baby, planned C Section, any benefits of going into labor before C Section?

@brothernature Had a scheduled C-section and recovery was pretty brutal but I scheduled it because what I really didn't want to do was inflict a ton of damage on my pelvic floor and go through the pain of back labor before ultimately having a C-section anyhow and then also having two levels of...

Will i ever not be tired again?

@charlie319 This is the answer. Yesterday, I took my only to the children's museum for about 5 hours. We had fun and my spouse got the house to himself to do whatever he wanted uninterrupted.

Breech baby, planned C Section, any benefits of going into labor before C Section?

@javier_is_life The second I finalized the decision to do a planned C-section, my OB got me on her surgery schedule for 39 weeks on the dot for exactly this reason! Had a big, healthy baby with no delivery complications
