Do you all accommodate any kids activity/sport you can? Or do you draw a line even if you COULD make it happen?

@4rtlauderdale Simple and well put! Life has certainly been an inferno. I cannot imagine 2 kids competing at this level. Honestly even with the 1 it gratefully mostly lined up with dad’s winter layoff and we were still losing it.

Do you all accommodate any kids activity/sport you can? Or do you draw a line even if you COULD make it happen?

@emilyd Are you my mom? Because this sounds exactly like my upbringing and interest set 😂 I’m not going to lie, a guilty part of me wishes they were nerdier. I’m SO happy and supportive of them talking to me about soccer for hours on end and trying my best to help them practice. I’d be totally...

I know that’s subjective because court costs are so intimidating. But I think it’s in the best interest of kids to have sports...

Do you let your kid skip family activities for stuff the other parent wants to do with them during your time?

@carolvdmerwe Ughhh how old is he? That’s so unfortunate. IMO extracurriculars should be a 2 yes/one no situation. You sort of have to let him go to the game. But talk to your ex. How would SHE feel if you unilaterally started scheduling things during her custodial time? We tried to navigate...

Do you let your kid skip family activities for stuff the other parent wants to do with them during your time?

@carolvdmerwe Oof. Info- how long has basketball been in session? Is there any CO/language about extracurriculars? Have you said anything to her before? I wouldn’t force him to miss his first game. But I’d talk to him and the coach and let them know that for your next weekend you have plans and...
