    @riseup Yes. People have this belief that children sleep by x, date, 3 mo, 6 mo or by 9 mo or CERTAINLY by 12 mo your child should sleep through the night. Nope. Not all kids. It's VERY normal not to sleep through the night at 12 mo... Unfortunately my son is 20 mo tomorrow and we're still up...

    @riseup Yes... I feel the same way OP... People really believe it works 100% OF THE TIME. And I always hear "If you ST- etc. etc. etc. your baby would sleep too, it really works" for the millionth time... like no... Hard no. 1. Sleep training IS NOT 100% effective and causes a lot of stress...

    @kmar123 Exactly. My one year old is entertained by throwing a ball or x toy off his high chair table. Over. and. over. and. over. again to see where it goes. They are just figuring out cause and effect concepts... like how sad he was when he threw his egg over and our dog ate it, he cried...
