What’s the dumbest thing anyone ever said to you as a twin parent?

@littlelost LOL! A significant amount of my elderly male clients said this to me and I just shook my head.

    Birth at 38 weeks?

@quaheem C-section scheduled for 38+2. Gave birth via c-section at 36+3. They hadn't grown much for the past few weeks so it was determined that they were better out than in. I showed no signs of labour at all. My cervix was closed when I had my last ultrasound at 36+2.

How do I set my wife up in a realistic way for our twins arrival in Jan…

@cinder7 Our first went to 41+2 and was born at 8lbs 2oz. Our di/di twins were identified as IUGR at 31 weeks. They increased monitoring and I had my c-section at 36+4 days after it was clear they hadn't gained weight in nearly 3 weeks. They were transverse which they believed contributed to...

Ads and instructions for the Fisher Price Newborn Rock n Play Sleeper

@prexioc We didn't realize! We thought that we'd have to provide proof of purchase. We didn't have that since we purchased second hand. We should have checked!

Ads and instructions for the Fisher Price Newborn Rock n Play Sleeper

@bharati21 We bought one of these second hand with our first 5 years ago. First time parents who didn’t know any better. I’m sick to my stomach thinking about how we let him sleep in it. When going through baby stuff for the twins, we found it again. We made a point of destroying it and...

Help me set expectations: How much of a relief, physically, is having the twins out?

@billbydesign Thank you for asking this! I’m 33+3 and wondering how my body will tackle the next 4 weeks. And whether I should savouring the moments of “ease” of being pregnant and enjoy my 4 year old or be looking forward to post delivery. Because I’ve felt so conflicted!

Still mourning Tide free & gentle powder

@y0ung1996 We use the tide free and gentle liquid (in the white bottle). Our water is extremely soft and we’ve found that it rinses easier than powder. I was tempted to try the powder version when it came out but passed since we were having no issues. Is that available? We can find it readily...

Tell me I’m not “giving up” or a failure. Feeding 4 day old twins

@igbokwe Do what feels right. I had a lot of trauma that I had to sort through after forcing myself to continue breastfeeding my first. We later found out that he had a milk protein allergy. Our twins were born a week ago. One was 4lbs and the other 5lbs. We were able to bring the larger...

Very very mild symptoms at 6+5 with di/di twins. Minimal nausea. Concerned

@grace92 I was incredibly sick with my singleton. I had zero symptoms with the twins until week 12ish. I went in for my dating ultrasound at 8 weeks fully expecting them to tell me that my pregnancy was not viable. Mind was blown when they said twins. Also di/di. Overall, my first trimester...

15 months in…. When do I sleep again?

@allisonbella What’s the rest of your schedule? Our first didn’t start reliably sleeping until 2.5-3y but there are always spurts of “bad” sleep throughout. Our twins will be 2 next month. Their sleep took a turn at 15 months when the illnesses rolled in. They’ve improved but it’s still...

5 months pregnant, just found out 3 car seats will not fit in my CUV. Can’t afford a bigger car. Freaking out

@deepwound Oh, I'm so sorry! We gave it away to our friends in a similar situation. I hope it works out okay!

5 months pregnant, just found out 3 car seats will not fit in my CUV. Can’t afford a bigger car. Freaking out

@ladydaffodil Are you using a booster at all? We also have a Rav and I've been struggling to find a highback booster that will fit in our Rav with access to the seatbelt. Our twins are rear facing (and will be for a long time) while our oldest is just about to outgrow the height in his Clek...
