@jenniferb Yikes, no thanks. If your ex isn't able to physically share the load, you have the final call there. Luckily I split the cost AND time with my ex. If I was on my own I probably wouldn't do it, even if he offered to pay for it all.

@vescd Do you mean like "Mom took me to Disney for my birthday last year, why did I only get this $30 Lego set?" My kids are 8 & 10. Dad's household has more disposable income (higher earner + dual income) and he can afford more expensive vacations (they went to Disney in February in fact)...

@straw23 This is an odd request. I would rather have my own children with me than someone else's kids.
