Experience with soft & simple toddler hip carriers like Wild Ride or Dear Baby AU?

@pchris I would recommend Gooseket over the Wildride! It is more adjustable and simply more comfortable because distributes the weight better as you can spread the shoulder strap. I believe it will work just fine for 16/18 UK size as I was using it while pregnant. For reference I am 5’8 and was...

Experience with soft & simple toddler hip carriers like Wild Ride or Dear Baby AU?

@tinaj Yes! That would be perfect 🤩 I carried my son in Gooseket for really long stretches when I was pregnant and there was no issue except the narrow seat. I am even thinking about making someone to sew me a cross between Wildride and Gooseket.

Experience with soft & simple toddler hip carriers like Wild Ride or Dear Baby AU?

@tinaj I also got it :p carried both my 23lbs daughter and 33 lbs son for a short period and it’s just right! It’s very similar to Gooseket, but has larger seat and is less adjustable. Yes, it becomes heavy and can cause shoulder soreness after some time, I find Gooseket more comfortable for...

Experience with soft & simple toddler hip carriers like Wild Ride or Dear Baby AU?

@tinaj I second the OP question! I was eyeing this Wildride sling for some time and wondering if it’s comfortable. I have a Gooseket and love it but the seat is somewhat narrow and flat in it. I use regular soft structured carriers for longer outings but something that will allow for easy ups...

    Summer carriers

@leilanee Integra solar can be used in water. I personally don’t own solar but I love my regular (cotton twill) one. It’s an apron style carrier with lightly padded shoulder straps. Can be worn on the front, back and I believe hip carry is possible too.

Suggestions for short torso 5'3" C-section mom

@mshelia I think any apron style carrier would work. Ergo embrace, aerloom, happy baby, Integra baby (I have this one and love it), sakura bloom, hope and plum, pikkolo. Stretchy wraps are great for newborn stage, but depending on the climate you live in they might get very hot because of...

What’s a good forward facing carrier?

@playingforthelord I hear you! That is why I have dumped my stroller and carry my younger (1.5 yo) while older (3.5) walks everywhere. On public transport I never carry on my back. I use ring sling or Lenny Lamb LennyGo toddler carrier while going out with my kids. If you struggle with the...

What’s a good forward facing carrier?

@playingforthelord Hip carry in a ring sling with arms out works for me. Forward facing would eventually become uncomfortable for you because of the weight distribution (as baby grows they will be heavier and all the weight will be pulling your shoulders and cause back ache). I never back carry...
