4th loss: it seemed too good to be true

I’m overwhelmed by all the love and support I’m getting here! I’m on day 3 post-OP and I’m feeling a bit better physically (though still experiencing some shoulder pain and abdominal discomfort), making sure to keep my stitches clean and trying to move around more and more. My therapist...

4th loss: it seemed too good to be true

@jmiles Thank you. I’m sorry for your loss too. It truly is heartbreaking because you think you can finally catch a break and suddenly your world crumbles down.

4th loss: it seemed too good to be true

@michaelwayne57 Thank you. Oh, I definitely feel like others think I must be doing something wrong and that shows when they try to give basic advice like “are you taking folic acid?” or when they’d side-eye me when I’d have a drink while TTC. It’s just shitty luck. I hope you get your take-home...

4th loss: it seemed too good to be true

@1brokenone Thank you. Sometimes it’s hard to advocate when you feel like every time you do it, others try to turn you down a notch, as if you were just paranoid. Just need to remind myself that I need to trust my gut more and really stick to my guns on things like these.

4th loss: it seemed too good to be true

TW: loss I’m writing this post to tell my experience with my ectopic so others could maybe be encouraged to advocate more if they have suspicions and avoid losing a tube or worse. Welp, I’m back here after yet another loss — though this one turned out to be a ruptured ectopic at 6+0. They had...

    “we weren’t even trying!”

@forgivenchildofgod It’s wild to me that people don’t use protection and get pregnant and then say, “We can’t believe it! We weren’t even trying!” I really don’t understand their logic behind this.

Is 9 months long enough to prepare?!

@bort Exciting that your husband is ready to try! Nine months would be the minimum if you were lucky enough to conceive on the first cycle and have everything go well. Some people don’t even start buying baby stuff and setting up the nursery until about 20 weeks, so I’d say 9 months is plenty of...
