    I just feel sick

@wayofthepromise I woke up to this news this morning. I still feel like it hasn't fully sunk in. I live in Massachusetts. Abortion is and I am confident will remain legal here. I am fairly sure it would even be covered by insurance and either my ob/gyn or another doctor in her office could...

    I just feel sick

@moses199 I'm personally skeptical that any of this out of state BS is actually enforceable (the same way that even though fireworks are illegal in Massachusetts, the state can't stop residents from buying them in New Hampshire--states don't have jurisdiction outside of their territory).

Are any of y’all considering moving out of the country?

@praiseyahweh4ever Would definitely consider it but am afraid the professional barriers are too high. I still have more than $50k in student loans and the combo of needing to pay those, plus US taxes and UK taxes if we relocated means I'd need to make a high salary. The last time I checked I'd...

How are you approaching stopping BC with Roe v Wade overturned?

@nountaineer I've been thinking about this all day. My IUD expires in December which is when we were thinking of trying but the more I think about it, the more I lean towards pushing it back to August 2023. I want to lose weight before TTC and I am also concerned that I will need to be on...

Turning 30, thinking about quitting law school after my first semester to start a family. Advice?

@tim_o None of the male attorneys I know have 4+ kids either. I'm not suggesting that she should be a stay at home mother either. I'm talking about the student debt and childcare costs together because I think the combined burdens of $250k in loan debt and childcare for 4-5 kids may be a lot...

Turning 30, thinking about quitting law school after my first semester to start a family. Advice?

@ladyghosthunter Yeah, also an attorney and I don't think it makes any sense for you to take on $250k of debt to have a backup plan and interests outside being a mother. You can have those things without being a lawyer. If you take on that much debt you may be essentially trapped into a job you...

Not to be a hater but

@anonymous778 My state has partially paid parental leave and medical leave (with job protection) which is so much better than the previous state FMLA equivalent "8 weeks unpaid we can't fire you" that is all I would have qualified for (small company--FMLA doesn't apply). I am still worried about...
