Will I regret only having 1 child?

@fallingapart You’re not being selfish by not “giving them a sibling”. There’s no guarantee that siblings like each other. If you and your husband have another baby it needs to be because you want it. I grew up with 1 biological sibling and 4 step-siblings. I don’t speak to any of them. In one...

    i don’t wanna pump anymore

@brandon_d That’s fantastic! Admittedly, I wasn’t a huge fan of baby-wearing at first with my oldest. I did it out of necessity. But it really grew on me and I’m a bit disappointed that my youngest doesn’t enjoy it as much and I definitely miss wearing my oldest.

    i don’t wanna pump anymore

@brandon_d My son is nearly 6mo and I’ve literally never pumped. Ever. And he’s never had a single bottle. He’s fed 100% straight from the tap lol. He’s a healthy, happy, chunky boy! As someone else suggested, you should look into baby-wearing. Super handy. My oldest was stuck on me like glue...

Everytime she latches it feels like razor blades coming out of my nipples

@lsltylrs01 Sounds like my experience. The pain improved a bit with shields. It started to actually go away around 7 weeks and was totally gone and everything was fine by 9 weeks. And for what it’s worth, I’m so happy I pushed through. He’s 10 months old now and it’s been a brilliant experience...

    Tipping Daycare Teachers

@johnsubira This whole thread is wild to me lol. I worked in childcare for 2 years and parents never brought Christmas gifts to anyone. The director bought us all coffee and bagels close to Christmas and said that was our “Christmas bonus” and that was it.

A man told me having a c-section was the easy way of giving birth

@vclr2010 Oh gee does this man and his imaginary uterus also have an opinion on how easy say breastfeeding is too? He should write a book for all mothers to be telling them how easy he found the process of pregnancy, labour, and birth to be. There is no easy way out. One way or another, a...

“You’re so lucky you can afford to stay home”

@merekas For real. There’s no winning. I’m attempting to start a business from home to maybe boost our income even just a bit but with a 3yo and a 7mo home it’s not easy. It’s a lot of late late nights and early mornings.

“You’re so lucky you can afford to stay home”

@merekas I started off as a SAHM out of desire. Then our circumstances changed drastically and now I can’t afford to not be home but I also can’t afford to be home. The ultimate rock and hard place scenario.

    Vacation hell

@qity Ugh we have a trip (to hell) coming up in a few weeks. We are driving 4 hours one way (that’s 4hrs without stops) to visit and stay with my in-laws who we barely get along with. Oh yeah and we have an almost 3yo who has hit the threenager stage HARD and the baby will be 6 months old. Both...

Baby wearing outdoors in the winter?

@aishaaa Either some sort of jacket for baby-wearing or a universal cover. I have a cover for my carrier. It’s waterproof and fleece lined with a hood and a fleece lined pocket. I got mine on Amazon.
