    Lightweight Infant Car Seats

@occanondenomchurch Also look into how to carry a car seat properly. There’s a trick to wrapping your arm around the side instead of holding the top of the handle and it makes carrying so much easier.

    Cleaning toys

@doomedhyclic Do you clean toys after illness? I only wash toys that are visibly dirty. Or after a bout of something like hand, foot and mouth.

Looking for alternative to Burt’s Bees Baby Loose Fit Pajamas but in a 12mo size

@stallions Glad to help! Snug fit is not kind to my chonker. I feel like we size out of pjs in the thighs first

Looking for alternative to Burt’s Bees Baby Loose Fit Pajamas but in a 12mo size

@stallions Afaik - after 12mo there is regulation in the US that requires pajamas to be snug fit or treated with fire retardants. I just buy the next size up in pajamas for a "loose" fit.

How do I build a Faraday cage around the bathroom?

@criley It’s pricey but eero mesh WiFi. I have it setup so all devices are attached to profiles. It’s then a 1 button press to turn off WiFi access. When our kids are older, you can also setup parental controls to block certain sites, enforce bedtimes, etc. It’s relatively easy to setup.

How did you choose a baby carrier/wrap?

@juragankacang My husband and I are also both tall with more athletic builds. The soft stretchy wraps are really popular for newborn stage. There is a learning curve but after practicing a couple times, it’s not bad. For a summer baby, I would recommend the solly wrap. The fabric was a lot...

Pack n Play for Sleep Recommendations?

@teecake All pack and play/travel crib mattresses are thin but both kids have found it comfortable. We’ve used it as a travel crib and as the dedicated sleep space for newborn days. I don’t think it’s challenging to bend down either younger babies. Doing it with our toddler was a bit tough...

Pack n Play for Sleep Recommendations?

@teecake We really like the baby bjorn travel crib. It’s very light and the mattress is on the ground so no uncomfortable bars or weight limits (issue with larger babies). We used ours until 16mo. I think the guava lotus is a similar style.

    Postpartum Gift

@otrtdamascus Just had my second a month ago. Nice pajamas - better than a robe IMO and can be flexible on sizing. Nordstrom moonlight pajamas are one of my favorites. I have 3 sets. More pricey - kyte baby has fun prints and you can get a matching mom/baby set. I got these + matching...

Nursery Chair - Wooden Glider or Upholstered Chair?

@eagleflight Sure! It’s babyletto brand - we purchased from crate and barrel but looks like target has it too. 10/10 would recommend. Comfortably fits me, large toddler and new baby. https://www.target.com/p/babyletto-tuba-swivel-glider-performance-gray-eco-weave/-/A-83905264

Nursery Chair - Wooden Glider or Upholstered Chair?

@roxylink I did an upholstered glider that’s a chair and a half. We really love it and it’s gotten daily use since our 2.5yo was born. We also have a 4 month old. I’m 6’0” and we also have a wooden rocking chair that I refuse to use. Early days - a really plush glider is much easier on your...

Which Glider? Paxton Chair and a Half or Dream Chair and a Half

@sassyphoenix I really like having a chair and a half. It didn’t make a huge difference until baby was a toddler and didn’t want to sit in my lap anymore 😭 Our first is now almost 3 and he says he needs his space (which means he sits on the arm rest of the chair). But there’s plenty of...

    Car seat purchase after accident

@possum +1 for sirona S. When I got it, it was the only convertible car seat in the US with a load leg.

    Nuna Revv vs Cybex Sirona

@ktb I love the cybex sirona S. We’ve used a rava and it makes me feel like a peasant. I hate getting our son in and out. Reclined or more upright. The install for the sirona is a touch fiddly but once you do it once or twice, it’s easy to get a rock solid install. We have one for each car...
