Pediatrician said baby sleep is abnormal

@nserchoftruth You don’t need that in your life! Even if it was a valid point, it wouldn’t be ok to hound you like that!

I don’t have a mom or a lot of family. Give me some motherly advice and tips about my first born

Or 7. (I’m sleep deprived!) if you’re breastfeeding, learn the safe sleep 7 and see if you like cosleeping. I truly love it, baby loves it. We are happy and get so much more rest this way. I wish I had started from the beginning.

Pediatrician said baby sleep is abnormal

@nserchoftruth Fwiw my pediatrician has never asked me this level of detail or really anything about how my baby is sleeping. He is 11 months, nurses through the night, and his daytime naps vary! He is healthy and happy.

I don’t have a mom or a lot of family. Give me some motherly advice and tips about my first born

Don’t waste your money on people trying to tell you how to get your baby on a schedule lol

I don’t have a mom or a lot of family. Give me some motherly advice and tips about my first born

@madscribbler A lot of what I do doesn’t matter much. Just love baby and keep them happy. If you breastfeed, feed baby anytime they want. Just pause and feed. Then move on with your day. A comfy robe to lounge in with baby What to do with a 4 month old Velcro baby: cuddle them! Be their other...

    do you tell your pediatrician?

@tjschaffer I told mine, she didn’t ask. My PPD score is borderline clinical and I am in therapy. As I was leaving, I brought it up. I said hey, I am cosleeping. If you tell me it isn’t safe, I will try to find another way. She said “sometimes you just need to survive.”

    What the F just happened

@tacobeans1234 Agreed. My baby did this sometimes and that’s exactly how I handled it! Baby and I cosleep in a separate room from dad, so he wasn’t involved and this is still how it went. Sounds like your husband was listening to baby’s cues!

My child is allowed to need me at night

@tarand Your baby is so lucky to have you as a parent. I just do not understand the mindset of some people. Why have children if not to love them and care for them?!

What Cheerios-like cereal are you feeding your baby?

@mariefromtexas Same except baby is only 9 months. I’m curiously reading wondering if I should be giving him cereal?? He’s basically paleo right now lol. I haven’t done any processed foods really

    Thrive Market

@hurtbygod FWIW, and only because of the sub we are on, my baby is 10 months and we do all fresh foods. We haven’t done many puffs/processed food except: — one time a restaurant gave us some… we were unexpectedly at very fancy sushi and it saved us lol. — freeze dried raspberries...

    “Cosleeping/bed-sharing creates dependent children”

@trivialator I don’t even know what a scale or pitch is (I can guess)— I rarely even know the right words for songs! My friend who is even more extreme just sings jingle bells or happy birthday bc she knows the words and it is so easy to break into without having to think like you said. Hang...

    “Cosleeping/bed-sharing creates dependent children”

@trivialator When I am so overwhelmed I sing. Last night I broke out into ooh child while baby was wailing in pain while trying to go to sleep. HE IMMEDIATELY STOPPED CRYING!!! It was magical. It helped us both regulate. He still cried a little bc of the pain (teething maybe?), but I think...

    Please convince me to cosleep

@psalm51flower The pro is that you will be more rested and safer driving to work. That’s what happened for me. The con is that if you don’t feel comfortable, then it’s not the choice for you. If you want to give it a try, see how it goes and how it feels for you. If you don’t like it, put...
