What kind of car do you drive?

@olaitan I have a Volvo XC90 with captains chairs in the second row so we can access the third row. I love the car for two kids. As far as I know, you can’t put a car seat in the third row, so depending on the age/size of your oldest, it may not work for 3 little kids.

Do people with kids work *harder*?

@whitm11 I work in big tech and the Moms on my team work waay harder than the non-parents. Yeah, we log off to do daycare pickup, dinner, bath/bed, but there’s no deadlines being missed or excuses made. The non parents may stay later in the office but there’s less actual work happening (based on...

3 Months at Daycare, 6 Bites - Am I overreacting?!

@heygoddidyouforgetme Are there multiple classes for each age range? I would ask for my child or the other child to be moved to the other class, if that’s an option.

what's fair when one parent travels half the week?

@idontknow I am the traveling parent, although it’s irregular. When home, esp. right before or after a trip, I try to take on more (additional daycare drop off/pick ups, will do all toddler appointments I can manage, fully catch up on laundry and will stock up on easy meal stuff and prep...

    Car seat convertible

@blazingstarblossoms It’s worst when they’re rear facing- I think it would be okay once they face forward. Unfortunately the first is a pipsqueak (not even 25lbs at 2.5), so we’re going to be rear facing a long time since we’d like to max out the seat. Lots of people turn forward facing earlier...

    Car seat convertible

@blazingstarblossoms We actually wound up getting an XC90 to accommodate baby #2, and keeping the Rava. There’s more space in the 2nd row and we needed the trunk space (we usually leave the 3rd row down). Very happy with it so far, and plan to get the Nuna Revv for the new baby. It swivels...

    Car seat convertible

@desiney The Rava is not compact. It’s super wide, and it is a tight fit even in my compact SUV (Volvo XC40). He’s 6’2” and we have to keep it behind my seat. He drives a small sedan and it doesn’t work at all- I don’t think it would be functional in a Civic, especially with tall adults. Check...
