    Let's talk about daycare quality!

@hulahooper I used to work in daycares and preschools in college and have an early ed degree but am now in a totally different field. We had such a hard time finding a spot for our twins as infants, so I focused on getting them into a good daycare when they hit preschool age as there’s more...

Putting them down for a nap?

@taliporos At that age, they had jus transitioned to cribs versus the bassinet. I would just snuggle each one for a few minutes and then put them in their cribs. They would just shushes and a few pats and I’d turn on their sound machine and turn off the lights. If they fussed at all, I’d go back...

When did u introduced toddler beds

@bchapman We transitioned at 26 months only because one of them somersaulted into the other’s crib and back one night and then tried to climb over the other side. We transitioned the cribs to beds that night and kept them a bit spaced only in the room to give them their own space. I would have...

Polling all twin/multiples parents - did you sleep train? Method? How long did it take?

@maddyiscool As a healthcare provider, I completely disagree. Those expensive drugs literally save lives and allow patients to live normal lives. Preventative measures aren’t going to save parents and children who are actively dying. Not to mention those expensive drugs can prevent vertical...

37 weeks, twin girls, natural or section?

@doodlum1 So true. Also what used to be super “natural” was dying in childbirth and/or stillborns at much higher rates. Not really something I’d be interested in seeing return. I’ve also been on the healthcare side of watching the outcome of some truly preventable fetal demises and maternal...

37 weeks, twin girls, natural or section?

@lisajcoleman1 Echoing that having a detailed plan is setting yourself up for failure. Also, it’s vaginal (not natural) or c-section, there’s nothing “unnatural” about giving birth. Having said that, if you are insistent about moving forward with a vaginal delivery, then there are some things...

Polling all twin/multiples parents - did you sleep train? Method? How long did it take?

@maddyiscool We did sleep training at just before 6 months. We did a modified Ferber. They were trained within 3 days. We had to start stretching out our check in times because they didn’t calm down when we went in, just escalated. Since that time, they sleep 11-12 hours a night about 85% of...

No more cribs (2.5 y/o twin boys)

@nyjujubeez Do the cribs convert to toddler beds? Most do and that set up is safe for kids once they climb out, but still resembles enough of their past set up that the transition isn’t bad. Unfortunately, the first few weeks of the transition was pretty unsettled for us. Lots of redirection...

My 14.5 month old was sleeping until 8/830 some days I even had to wake him up, suddenly it’s religiously 6:45 am wake up

@rtjmrt Is he still on two naps? Our kids cut down to one around that time as it shifted their sleep around a bit. Their bedtime also nudged later.

How did y’all potty train multiples?

@devonte Yeah, it’s so tough to figure out when to start. We have boy/girl twins as well. They were actually not interested in the slightest either time we tried leading up to the day we started. They wouldn’t even sit on a potty or look at it. When we tried the second time, we waited until...

Very very mild symptoms at 6+5 with di/di twins. Minimal nausea. Concerned

@grace92 Many people don’t even know they are pregnant at 6+5 unless they are doing infertility treatment or tracking very carefully. So it’s very common to not have symptoms super early on. It takes a bit for pregnancy hormones to take off and symptoms onset or lack thereof isn’t an indicator...

How did y’all potty train multiples?

@peace608 We did do the 3 days pants off method so not much help there, but it was not as hard as. I thought. We got two plastic potties and ladder seats for the toilets, dog pee pads for our furniture, and incentives for when they went, and just never looked back. We were good to go in a short...

My husband and I just got a call after my 14 m.o. daughters’ first week at a new daycare…

@daleksteve That’s so frustrating and seems unfair! And also, twins are harder than they expected? I’m sorry, what?! They are childcare professionals, no? It’s like having two new kids start at the same time to them, which happened all the time when I worked in daycares in college and we didn’t...

My husband and I just got a call after my 14 m.o. daughters’ first week at a new daycare…

@daleksteve $480/week for a younger toddler would be a steal here. We are finally starting a preschool and it’s $350/week and it’s the cheapest we’ve found anywhere. It would have been $500-600+ per kid here at 14 months. But having said that, that’s a huge jump! Are they giving you a heads up...

When did you let someone else watch them?

@milliekeeling23 My mom watched them when they were two-ish weeks old so we could go out for our anniversary and then a few times in those first few months. We had a nanny from 12 weeks on.

IUI Gonal-F Letrozole 4 mature follicles

@zeezee My clinic also did not trigger with more than 3 mature follicles, and 3 was only in certain circumstances. I did IUI with fertility meds and a trigger shot and 2 mature follicles each time, and I never got pregnant from any of those cycles.
