@mollyg I think the OP has a bias, as everyone does. That's not lying. That's just how first person narratives work. You and I may consider it abusive, but if you consider what CPS sees daily, it's not going to rise to the level of disrupting the household.

@leadersmash I reported a kid with a black eye who told me his father did it. That's demonstrably abuse. Nothing happened. And I have much worse stories than that, but I'd rather not share them.

@mollyg I am a mandated reporter who has reported actual child abuse. You vastly overestimate what CPS will do here, which is nothing.
