    Struggling after doctor’s comments

@rehem This is so important OP! Please please tell your doctor. You do not have to endure this. I told my doctor if I have to be weighed that's fine but I don't want to see/hear the numbers and I don't want to talk about my weight gain unless there are major concerns. So she didn't and it was great.

    Anyone else hate working?

@liz555 If I was independently wealthy I simply would not work. Life is short. I would rather spend it with my kids.

Can’t Lose the Damn Weight - 2 Years Postpartum

@katrina2017 A lot of people just do. I did. Many people are more sedentary during pregnancy because being pregnant is hard AF. I could not keep up the same exercise between morning sickness 24/7 and debilitating pelvic girdle pain. "Mom butt" is a thing. In early postpartum especially if you're...

Can’t Lose the Damn Weight - 2 Years Postpartum

@morirach For me personally eating way more protein and lifting heavy weights has been the key. If you're not eating at least 1g of protein per kilogram of body weight, you're not eating enough protein and you're probably bingeing on carbs and high fat food more than is helpful. Your body...

How are some bassinet style sleepers with 'soft mattresses' considered safe?

@crash1 I believe it has to do with how thin the mattress is. It can be softer if it's very thin. Baby isn't going to squish into the mattress and suffocate, especially on their back. Interestingly most pack n plays are not approved for sleep here in Canada, much to the chagrin of parents who...

    Pacifier Wack-a-mole

@suziekingsley They figure it out eventually. It helps to practice putting the pacifier in and out during the day.

8W old o my eats 2 ounces every 2-3 hours

@daughterofmajor How many ounces is she getting per 24 hours? The recommendation is typically 2-2.5oz per pound of body weight. So she needs 22-28 ounces per 24 hours.

Anyone else feel like it's a struggle to get baby out and about?

@ajay003 My baby is 4 months old. I live in Canada as well and have been cautious about being indoors. We've enjoyed a lot of socializing over the summer because we can be outdoors as much as possible. I'm starting to introduce some indoor activities, like swim classes, and I'm nervous, but we...

Anyone else’s baby fit into smaller age size in clothes?

@netty805 Not sure how it is in the UK (assuming that's where you are by the use of the term health visitor) but here in Canada they typically tell you what percentile your baby is for height and weight after every measurement, from 1st to 99th percentile (although some babies do fall outside...

Income keeps going up but husband doesn’t want to outsource any chores

@neroway A lot of cleaners where I live don't, but it's fine. We pay about $150 for someone to come once a month. It's very affordable when you consider how much time it saves us.

Income keeps going up but husband doesn’t want to outsource any chores

@gembeldolar Do you have a documented budget where you can both see in black and white how much money you have going in and out every month? That might help. I grew up poor and have experienced a lot of financial anxiety, so I get where your husband is coming from. But at the same time...

@gembeldolar Do you need his approval? Just hire a cleaner.

Is my big baby getting enough formula?

@blueskiesfrompain My 5 month old baby has been plateaued around 32oz per day for quite a while now. What's changed is how often she eats (increasingly less often) and how big the bottles are (increasingly larger). So right now she does four 8oz bottles per day, every 4 hours or so during the day.

    37 years old, 37 + 1 day, FTM

@sj72109 Sounds very normal for the end of pregnancy. I can't imagine anything worse than being out in the heat at that stage. Try not to judge yourself for resting. You're about to be also deprived for months and your body is working hard to finish baking your baby. Rest is good. Maybe do a...

When did your baby sleep all night w/o feed?

@londoj Inconsistently starting around 4 months and then she's been doing it pretty much every night since she turned 5 months and moved into her own room. I feel it's important to mention that she's formula fed because I've heard that breastfed babies need to feed more frequently and may take...

    C-section advice

@wandkrie I really doubt the scar tissue part. A good pelvic floor PT will teach you how to massage the scar tissue and release it. There are also videos on YouTube. Sometimes they also offer electric current therapy to release it another way.

    “Nobody Wants Your Kid!”

@trandraskell Absolutely not. The reaction is a big red flag to me. I'm pretty easy going and I truly think that most people are inherently good, but it's just not a risk I would take with my baby. This seems like a very cut and dry common sense thing to me.
