Why should I not let my baby “use me as a human pacifier”

@yoshinat0r Are you ok with cosleeping? Cause baby will probably end up wanting to nurse throughout the night to connect sleep cycles. Fine to do it now if you want to, just the long term practical matters of that as a soothing tool.

Severe anxiety about upcoming bachelorette trip for my best friend and leaving baby

@miyuki256 This isn't ridiculous at all! Seems like a great approach. A lot of people would have just skipped the weekend. I still haven't spent a night away from my 19 month old (but going to soon I think).

Does anyone else have their newborn live in onesies 24/7?

@healihealiheal 9 weeks and still in sleepers during the day, and just diaper and fleece swaddle at night.

@cap1975 Isn’t a onesie dressed? That’s the theme of this thread I think.

Does anyone else have their newborn live in onesies 24/7?

@tay796 Yes, my baby sleeps in a diaper and swaddle so we literally put the footie sleeper “pajamas” on just for daytime!

Can anyone actually get baby in backpack position themselves??

@outofplace_christian I have a Happy Baby OG so it's different, apron-style...but I do it sitting on the edge of the couch with her sitting behind me, and then stand up bent over. But I think at 7 months I still needed help. When they are older they are less floppy and hold on to you more.

    Confused about sleep and formula

@jimdubu If the baby takes a bottle, someone else can also take a shift with pumped milk. I get a 5-6 hour chunk every other night and we do no formula, all breast milk- my husband just gives her a bottle.

Did you really wait 6 weeks postpartum to resume exercise?

@felicitys See a pelvic floor PT before doing any impact exercise (jogging, running, jumping, moguls, mountain biking) to assess for prolapse.

How do you approach the stupidity that is Daylights Savings Time?

@robaya We are completely ignoring it. Normal routines and schedules. We never wake her up in the morning though - so I imagine she will sleep in. Yay!

is introducing a pacifier at all a good idea?

@sh419ob We didn’t really. I offered it a few times and she didn’t take it so we just never used them.

Does anyone else have their newborn live in onesies 24/7?

@lllgt “ I think it’s helpful for him mentally to not see me in pajamas all day” - like so he’s attracted to you, or so he doesn’t think you are just lounging around all day?

@rickglorybetogod Interesting! I will have to try this as she gets a bit older.

@rickglorybetogod Is there a reason to do without feet during the day?

    Baby hates going to bed

@davemuscato That is a pretty unusual nap schedule. I know my kid needed 4-5 hours of awake time before bed in order to be tired enough to fall asleep easily and stay asleep overnight. This will lead to not falling asleep or waking up 40m later. Also expecting her to stay asleep for 12 hours...

Pediatrician ok’d LO be frontward facing for hip seat carrier at 2.5 months and now I’m worried

@jven79 Your pediatrician fucked up. How often were you putting him in front-facing? Hopefully not for more than 15-20 minutes at a time? (it is not ok for longer than that at ANY age) Were you always getting the correct M leg shape as shown here with the Ergo...

@heavenbound3 Yeah, the oil filled portable radiators are zero fire hazard. (I mean I still wouldn’t have fabric on or touching them but as I understand it the risk is zilch).
