Shall we go from 2 to 3?

@renob Don’t agree with you, but ok.

    Parentified

@airamerica I do not ask for any help from my oldest aside from grabbing me a diaper from the box if he’s near it. I will never ever ever ask him or anyone to baby sit a younger sibling. I do not believe in that. It’s not fair to them. I don’t ask them to keep eyes on each other. I give them...

Shall we go from 2 to 3?

@renob “What’s another kid” is poor parenting practices. Period, that level of nonchalance at bringing another life into the world is very very telling.

Breaking great-grandma’s heart for not letting baby CIO

@bigskyguy76 I totally understand that. I visited my grandfather 3 singular times after I had my first born, until his death, and the ride absolutely sucked. I sat in the back with my baby, and we literally just had to keep pulling over. It was brutal. He passed and I regret not spending more...

Shall we go from 2 to 3?

@teampancho I have 4 children so I’m not sure why you’re elaborating on what parentification is or isn’t to me, but ok. I’m saying people that say adding another child is no big deal and “what’s one more” typically just are not meeting the emotional needs of all the kids in their family. It...

Breaking great-grandma’s heart for not letting baby CIO

@bigskyguy76 Same boat!!! I have 4 kids, ZERO of them could do car rides as young babies. I have a 9 month old right now and I just don’t drive him places over 20 minutes because of this, and it’s been the same for all my kids . I will say though, you might regret it if you don’t push through...

What do you tell your pediatrician about sleep?

@shalomhandiworkgifts Funding more research that contests SIDS being caused by bedsharing is probably the best bet. Dr McKennas work is great, but it isn’t comparable to the volume for research that’s published for “safe sleep”. Which is ridiculous for sure, but the reality is the science isn’t...

    Daddy sleeping in

@nessofonett05 Your husband sounds really needy and a bit self centered.

What do you tell your pediatrician about sleep?

@shalomhandiworkgifts That’s most people. It’s the 1% of society who can pay for out of pocket for health care. I do think the most sound advice is to keep it to yourself because we’ve even heard of some of these pediatricians reporting to cps for bedsharing. I know that’s extreme but you never...

Shall we go from 2 to 3?

@pidgie Definitely hard disagree on that. Another kid is a big deal. They’re their own person. People with this mindset often parentify their older kids and just don’t meet everyone’s emotional needs.

    Expenses for 4 v 5 kids?

@ambereyes12 I’m just answering your question. Having one more kid makes food bills higher, it makes all bills higher period. If your husband feels like finances are tight as is, they’ll get tighter.

    How can you afford it?

@rksharma Cloth diapers exist and people use them just saying.

Shall we go from 2 to 3?

@foxyroxy Going from 2 to 3 was the hardest, ever. You’re officially out numbered. Just be prepared for that.

    5 under 5?!?

@daniel1986 As long as they’re being put to the breast occasionally or getting some breastmilk it def makes a difference! I don’t think formula cancels out the immune benefits

When did your ovulation/ period return EBF

@benstiller12 I used a temp drop, and just wasn’t paying attention because I really assumed LAM. But yes I ovulated before my period. Irish twins is really hard because you lose your milk supply. When you have a baby that young you need to supplement with formula.

What do you tell your pediatrician about sleep?

@shalomhandiworkgifts I absolutely agree I’m just saying a close minded pediatrician will blow it off entirely.

    Diaper rash is inevitable

@cathya For me, it is. I have an incredibly stringent wash routine, I’ve had to get an entirely new stash and I still deal with the occasional rash. Nothing some triple paste hasn’t fixed, but that being said, these rashes literally never happen to my baby with disposables. I think for some...

    Pocket Diaper Leaking

@osh For me the microfiber material themselves causes leaks. It just repels liquid a bit and doesn’t allow it to absorb quick enough. I would try having the insert directly on babies skin and using the pocket as a cover, and possibly even switching inserts if youre using the ones that they came...

    Stay at home mother entitlement

@wasblindbutnowisee That’s insane to let kids stay up that late. I don’t even know how they’re able to do that my kids would pass out.

    5 under 5?!?

@daniel1986 Breastfeeding is your best bet. When colds blow through my house the breastfed baby usually gets the most mild case of whatever it is. Kids that are in school have to shower as soon as they get home.
